in the real world, where i live, it not the most economicly affluent area, and is rather the armpit of the area and I byfar have the nicest car!!!

anyway, when im at the stop light in front of the crosswalk, sometimes ill get the bus people, or streetperson type, will walk in front of me stare a bit (im thinking o hees gonna flip me off, spit, nasty look or whatever).., but no they give thumbs up or an approving look, i acknowlege them and go on ...

One other homless / beggar lured me in, when i parked he asked ma all about the car, then casually asked if i had any spare change.. i gave him all i had at that time.. im suuch a suckah sometimes heheh o well maby hees saving for one tooo?

yesterday I was on surface streets and saw a touring roadster up ahead

I drove by the guy and reved the engine up a little up to around 5000-5500 rpm really quick (with my tilton) and kept driving.

Thinking back over that, i'm not sure how that would be perceived by someone else. I know he saw me though.

It's not just Zs...when I had my Jeep there was the "Jeep wave", and with my Miata, a "Miata wave". I have to say that "Z waves" make me happier though, because there aren't as many of them around, so it makes it more special.

On another note - about a month ago, right after I got my car, I was in rush hour traffic in Orlando, and an orange 350Z merged onto I-4 in front of me. We drove together for about 20 minutes, helping each other weave in and out of traffic. When he exited he gave me a wave and we flashed our lights at each other. It was one of my favorite Z drives yet!

Another wave thread?

Well in the 5 months we had the Z, 3 count em 3, 1 wave, 1 nod and a honk, first 2 had paper plates and third was from cali. Other than that we mostly come across middle aged people, who could care less.

i hardly ever acknowledge other z owneres around here. 9 times out of 10 its a lady or a guy in their 40s to 50s in a touring automatic roadster. I doubt they have a clue what the car is or where it came from.

My wife and I are inside eating at Captain D's and I see this old guy in his 70's going around from table to table then he comes up to us and ask is that your Z out front I said yes he said nice car he said he had asked everyone in there ...He said I have an 04 roadster and trying to find a CAI !! I gave him some places to check and told him Nismo and dealer will install he thanked me and asked if he could look at it so I showed him he got his wife to look too they were amazed and so was I. when you see another Z owner on the street or in a parking lot somewhere, do you stop and say hi or give a thumbs up? Or do you just go about your business. Personally I always, and I mean always give a nod of approval or a thumbs up when I see another Z on the road, and when I see one parked I always strike up a conversation.

Idk. it`s like some weird bond between Z owners =P
Yes I Do! I Either: Wave, Nod, Thumbs Up, Smile Or Stalk Them [If She's Cute].

On a motorcycle we give each other the two finger salute. You drop two fingers down low as you pass. Haha its awesome!

I was at a 3 lane light, in the right was me in SB 350z, then a silver 350 in the middle and a silver G35 next to us. We all waved at each other and took off!

Havent had my bike that long, but there is definatley a biker wave. Seems like every bike you pass wants to wave. I do it just for fun but dang, its kinda scary when your going down the high way at 75 mph and a bike coming the other way wants to do the wave thing, I am much more comfortable with both hands on the grips if you know what I mean. lol BEN

I know some older guys, especially at work that are car enthusiasts. They've been since they were my age or younger. I'm 24 btw. So give them the benefit of the doubt. Maybe they bought the 350z because they simply love cars and know what the Z name is. At one point they too were young and maybe they had a 280z when they were young. I know one guy who is 45 and still keeps his 300zx in prestine condition. But 20 years from now i know, when I buy a 400Z TT or whatever comes out, the 24 year olds won't wave to me cuz I'll be too old. Just my 2 cents

Agreed. My dad bought his Z06 in 2003 and he was 59. He was like a pig in **** when he had that.

its not because they're old that i dont acknowledge them, its because car enthusiasts dont buy automatic touring roadsters. Most of them are women anyways, all they know about cars is to take their car to jiffy lube every 3k miles.

I always wave. I find that Im more likely to get a reciprocating wave from guys who have modded their Zs. No offense meant to you enthusiasts with stock setups, but you just dont wave as often.
