Philadelphia Area
Dr. Bonz knows whats up. Dont laugh at him just yet. While I'm definately not as obsesive as him, once you have your first Pats (or true Philly cheesesteak to be more general), its more than just a meal, its an experience ..and yes, watching someone eat their first Pats, they do have something of an orgasm
For anyone who hasnt had a TRUE Philly Cheesesteak, I'll let you in on the proper etiquite (sp?).
Roll: has to be a full length crusty italian roll, with one of the tip ends cut off so you can really dive right into the sandwich.
Meat: Heres where just about every steak place goes wrong. The meat shouln't be that thin, flimsy, pre-cut/packaged meat that you get everywhere. It should be nice juicy ribeye, cut thin, but in nice big peices. This is why after a Pats steak, every other one tastes dry and lifeless.
Cheese: You gotta to go wiz, or you dont at all. Yup, Cheese Wiz, not that nasty caned stuff, but the cheese you get with nachos. This is by far the best, yet even where I live, 25 min. out of Philly, you cant get it. Many newcomers are afraid to get the Wiz, but you have to, its the only way to go, trust me, I was a little weary of the wiz at first....if you cant possible get the wiz...as in they don't offer it, American will suffice.
Th problem with Pats, is that once you have one, you can never eat another "cheesesteak" again, kinda like flying first class, or driving a Z

Well put Brad, well put.
J Ritt, I'm actually about 80 miles north of Pittsburgh. The town is called Sharpsville. Other small towns around me are Sharon, Farrell, and Hermitage.
BTW the satellite photo of Pats is courtesy of Terraserver.com. You can search for all kinds of things on it. Pretty cool.
MAN am I hungry!

I really don't care for Pat's Steaks. But I live in Northeast Philly and just ordered my new Daytona Blue 350Z Entusiast from Colonial Nissan. I can't wait for my March 2003 delivery.
Are there any Z Clubs near Philadelphia? PM me if you know of any.

I ordered mine on June 2 and they have the nerve to tell me I was to late. After taking my 1000.00 Deposit they said I wont' get my z until the next shipment comes in. Well screwed that ****, I'm not waiting to get my z with them. I got my 1000.00 deposit back and will never ever buy another car from them. If your wondering what dealer this is...It is Montgomeryville Nissan in lansdale,Pa. I just spoke to a buddy of mine this week and he says they have a black one in their showroom for sale. What the f**k is up with that. They told me all the slot was full and they don't have any open for me. I called nna and explained to them what happen. I told them how frustrating this whole experience is for me and they felt bad but could not do anything for me to get a 350z this year. Instead they said when I do purchase one they will send me a coupon for a free aero kit package. Well I guess no z for me this year.
For anyone in the Philly area looking to buy a Z, I highly recommend O'Neil Nissan in Warminster, PA. I'm almost positive they will be selling at MSRP. If they aren't I'd like to hear about it. Ask for Stan Dorman, he's a really nice guy.
I've had very bad experience with Colonial Nissan in Feasterville. Not saying that you will...the last time I dealt with them was several years ago.

Colonial Nissan (where I ordered my Z) recently got a beautiful Daytona Blue Performance Model in their showroom. They also have 2 Touring Models on the lot for test drives (one stick & one auto). If you are near Philly, check them out - thay are great folks.
Hey Bradford: I just got back from Philly this morning. Took in a Philly sports fanatic weekend with my dad. Saw the Flyers (10 rows behind the net dead center) tie Boston 2-2, Saw the Eagles win the battle 38-14 vs the Cards, but lose the war when McNabb broke his ankle, and saw the Sixers beat the Wizards (and M.J.).
Had my traditional "two cheese wit", and also three canolis from Termini's. Finally, my dad took me to a place called "Nick's" on 21st street in South Philly. They supposedly are the Pat's of the Roast Beef sandwich. I had two of them with horseradish and they were awesome. Did you ever hear of Nick's?
Now if you'll excuse me, I have to go run 68 miles on my treadmill to burn off the pounds I gained over the last two days!

Bonz, your makig me hungy.
Yeah, McNabb breaking his ankle is huge. But Coy Detmar (backup) is really gonna have to step it up. Say, win three games, make it to the playoffs, and McNabb will be back...could happen....damn it!
Kirkwood Highway. Good place to drive the Z...alot of modded Civics who LOVE to show off. Thats untill I brun em in my baby.
