So the other day I was driving the Z especially early in the morning. It was beautiful outside and I was on an empty highway, so I decided to have a little fun.
I drive the manual mode frequently, but I never really pushed my car hard from the launch before. I always fed it some gas to get it going in 1st, and if I wanted to accelerate hard from there I would.
I put my foot on the brake and rev the rpms up to around 3k. Traction Control is off of course and I let go of the brake and press the pedal down to the floor. Obviously my back tires begin to spin, and my car is just making a lot of noise, not going anywhere. The engine revs to about 6k in 1st. I got a little nervous and let of the gas, at which point the rpms dropped and I punched it again. The car took off like a bat out of hell, I've never felt my car so fast from the start before kind of caught me off guard.
Well obviously that was not the launch I had in mind, to much wheel spin. My question is though, when my tires are spinning, and the rpms are reving high, should I basically be shifting into 2nd whenever I want? I felt a little Z guilt so I figured I would ask before screwing around again.
