Question Inside door panels suck, any aftermarket out there

I really don't like the inside door panels of the Z. That stimpled effect very easily smudges in the recessed areas and is almost impossible to clean and protect evenly. I think the dash material would have been better, or even the carbon fiber look-alike of the console. Anyone agree? Are there any solutions being contemplated out there?

That stimpled stuff is genuine simulated sharkskin, which was a hot item in the 18th and 19th century. The covering was used on fine boxes containing very valuable things, it was also used for the outside of fancy tool kits as well. I like it. Replacing it would ruin the color gradation scheme, dark from the center of the dash to a light grey in the hatchback. If you have a Frost interior.
