the fact is, most of these clowns are just hating on the z because deep inside, they know they would love to be in one, and telling you "it ain't fast..." is their way to justify them not being in one.
i'm not trying to be a d!ck, but some people have no right to say that to you (us), if they want to make themselves feel better and say it to themselves or their buddies in their own conversations, that's cool. i'm mean h3ll, i used to drive a 5th gen prelude (if you think the z is a pig, you should try that fat fwd!), and i would see cars that i knew could beat me and still think - "its not that fast...", but would never have the ***** to say it to the other drive because i knew he would have a car and half on me going into 2nd... and now that i'm in the z, i would never dream of hanging my head out the window and telling someone with a slower car "it aint that fast". but now if someone told me that wasnt fast, i'd leave 'em behind and not say a word... because i know they know the deal.
and a side observation, when i was in the prelude, a much slower car, i wasnt a racer or anything, no real mods, i had a theory. the theory is that people in commonly considered "slow" cars (most ricers in fwd 4 cyl. engines) have to speed all the time to look fast, feel fast, and more importantly, have others think they are fast... and on the flip side - whenever i saw cars that people commonly knew were "fast" cars (i.e. vettes, porsches, etc) they are always going slow, because they know they have nothing to prove, they already know they are fast, felt it, and knew others knew that they are fast. so nothing really to prove there... i typically drive slow now...
there, i said it.
edit: first 2nd page on this site...yessss!
