Redesign of the Next Z...
#21
Slight interior improvements would be OK with me, do something about the gauges (The Honda/Acura blueish gauges are SWEEEET in my opinion)
Keep the overall shape and make the car a bit wider and LOWER!!!
T-tops or targa (preferred)!!!!!!!

Well, if you are talking redesign, and not just a freshening up, I think the car needs to be wider and lower. It just looks too tall. Also, I would like to see a longer hood and a shorter rear deck, something closer to the 1st gen proportions, but not a retro design!
Of course factory FI and a performance oriented AWD ala the GTR would be sweet as well.

Nissan has a planning department and an advanced planning department. They handle strategy and work with the design department to advance future Zs. Yes they find out what owners would like to see and they know that owners are the best source for information. Their questions tell us where they're going with future designs so, owners that are consulted are asked to not discuss details of their inquiries. I'm not surprised that the 35th Anniversary Track has higher horsepower and lower torque. Now that it's out, I see no reason not to say that this is the type of end result from meetings with current owners and inquiries for what we would like to see.
Not only does Nissan go out with owners to see what we want, what we like and what we dislike but recognize that they read these forums and take notice of your input. So, do us a favor and refrain from calling these hard working guys that are trying to improve the Z line - idiots. They're very smart people who genuinely care about the Z and don't deserve your unknowledgeable abuse.

300lbs less would be nice
but I don't think nissan is in the track only toy market, they're in the car market so i doubt they'll take out the AC
I don't think the plastic is that heavy. In fact, I think it's pretty light compared to most other interior materials.
removing sound deadening - all of it would be nice, but the track model has less sound deadening than the other models already
the window motors suck though - i've burned out like 2.5 of them (one still works but has issues)

He said though, that it is only for the first year of production, that they will have the color changed guages. So, I would ASSUME(I do not know for a fact, jsut a guess) that they must have settled and ford still doesn't want to pay him any more than they have to so they are doing away with them.
