NMAC or other current lease rates?
Since my car is scheduled to arrive in about two weeks, I need to make a final decision on financing. Because I own my own business, my accountant wants me to lease the car because of tax reasons. Does anyone know what the current NMAC money factors are? Any other member in the dealer business know of any other banks with better rates then NMAC? Thanks.
In financial negotiations I was quoted, for the lease factor (money factor), 0.0040 but dropped to 0.0032 as I wore him down - yea, right. These relate to an interest rate of 9.6% down to 7.6% . (Lease factor times 2400 equals interest rate). I saw rates as low as 0.0028 in an internal Nissan memo someone posted in August. Sales manager said that was probably regional when I showed him the NMAC flyer I copied or he was blowing smoke at me. Anyhow that is what you are seeking - 0.0028 or 6.7%
In my case a 4.79% purchase rate and 7.6% lease rate was a wash with tax benefits factored in. CPA said do what I wanted. At the end of lease/loan no significant difference. There may be a benefit for you.

Ouch! 0.0040 is a serious rip!! That's a huge interest add-on they are making. I don't know how recent the 0.0028 NMAC rate is, I do know Honda's dealership buy rate is currently 0.0024.
Was hoping to catch the attention of one of the dealer guys in the forum :-)
