slammed my z into a curb!
well chit! pouring rain the need for new tires and a fast left turn placed my z into a curb last night. damn rear tire is pointing in about an inch.....does anyone know the chances with z's of damaging the axle? im thinking of it being just control arm & sway bars..etc..... any thoughts?

Chalk this up as a lesson learned. Just curious of your age, young smart one?
No offense but your the dumba$$ driving a car in the rain with bad tires, no vdc, and prob no TCS. Looks like you who got OWNED HERE! NO sympathy from me and several others in this forum.
Now had you had VDC/TCS on, been driving slow (IN THE RAIN) and had fresh tires I would not have said what I said. I know you didn't want to hear comments from anyone like this, but WTH did you expect!

Anyway, sorry to hear about the damage to your car. That sucks.
wow..... what is with Z people running their cars into curbs?
i had a 387 RWHP MR2, that i drove year round (yes, even in iowa and chicago winters)..... NO traction control. NO VDC, NO ABS. NO power steering........ and never once put it into a curb or even spun out......

arent the mr2's rear engine? I drove a turbo supra last year and had no problems....the z just plain sux in bad weather.....and i sucked hitting the curb no doubt..but gave me an excuse for aftermarkets!
no, the MR2's are mid-engined, and have snap oversteer like no other...... you can get that back end to spin around as easy as pie...
we got stuck in a snow storm in CO last year and i had to go drive my buddy's 350 because he was afraid to drive it in the snow, but he had left it at a bar the night before.... wasn't terrible. i guess you just have to know how to drive in the snow and rain, and it really wasn't a problem
