Default Help!!!!

I need some advice. My Z is scheduled to be here on monday. I've been waiting for this thing for 4 months. My trade in is screwed.

My Problem: My 2002 RSX-S trade in is throwing a check engine light and I can't figure out what it is exactly. I also can't get the car in to Acura until Monday at the earliest and thats still without an appointment so its no guarantee. Should I trade it in as-is or should I get the car fixed. I'm almost positive its an oxygen sensor because the code is a P1166 and it was cross referenced as an air-fuel metering malfunction with the O2 sensor before the catalytic converter.

What should I do?

thats exactly what happened to me when I traded in my 01 MR2 Spyder. If they already told you what they are paying for it and it is still under warranty trade it in as is. When I traded mine in they had already told me how much my car was worth and they said all they would do is have toyotas warranty cover it. Just do it.

I wouldnt worry about it. Worst case, while I know you have been waiting, you dont *have* to complete the deal the day the car comes in. Just tell them the car is in the shop getting a regular maintenance or something, and you'll come in when you can *shrug*.

Try disconecting the battery for a few minutes and then hooking it back up. Maybe it will reset the ECU.

Or spend $30 on an O2 sensor and install it. They usually only take 10 minutes to install.

I'm not 100% its the O2 sensor or the O2 sensor relay. Plus I just found out that the code also is tripped by a heat exchanger I guess that shows the computer that the catylitic converter is at opporating temp. AHHH this friggin sucks. Plus the Acura service department is the last place I want to deal with right now. They are part of the reason I bought the Z in the first place. The guys are dicks. I guess I'll just take it in and see what the Nissan guys say about it and hope for the best.

I tried resetting the ECU already and was able to fix 2 other additional codes but this one is still getting me.
