Todd, I got the alignment done once, but that was before the accident. Maybe I'll need to go to a different dealer.

>> can i use this tsb with an 04 car?

All I know is that the mailing I got specifically applies to only 03 Z's.

In my experience with Garden Grove Nissan, they won't do anything unless you actually have the document with you, and make a very careful argument. Without it, I probably would have had to pay for an alignment, new tires, and I'm almost certain I'd have to pay the $91 for the alignment check itself, on top of that. Then I suppose they could bill Nissan, too, if they're smart and not especially honest. The Nissan PDF that Dr. Bonz sent me said that the dealer is supposed to print out the document I'm talking about and show it to the customer if they complain about tire noise. (PM me with your email, and I'll send anyone a copy who wants it.)

The guy I dealt with acted like he knows nothing about anything, yet he seems to be there every hour the place is open, and they have sold quite a few Zs. I mean, when the 03 Z came out, they wouldn't even respond to my emails when I offered to pay MSRP.

And when I left, they guy said he didn't have the paperwork for me to sign, because they still need to figure out how to bill Nissan. The PDF says Nissan requires the alignment print out from the machine, and my car was a few hours late because apparently it had to be taken to a Toyota dealership. They said their machine was broken. I don't know what to believe. That place is like the Burmuda Triangle.

They might be tied together with the same database. But maybe ask around in your locale to find the best dealer in your area. After my MSRP shopping experience in Sept 2002, I know the closest dealership I can trust is about 40 miles away! And who knows... they might be taking advantage of their location by selling cars low, and hooking me up with a closer dealership for service. I detected a bit of manipulation during that part of the sale, but I didn't care.

When I had the fix done, they took care of everything no charge, including the alignment...no problems since.
