Default bad shifter

Is it just me or is it really hard to make a smooth shift from stop to start (1st) and 1st to 2nd. It seems real herky jerky to me. Is the clutch just real grabby? My car only has 800 miles, will it smooth out with time? (p.s. I'm not new at driving a manuel trans)

I have noticed this too. Not so much from stop to start, but definitely from first to second. I think it's just a combination of the gearing in those gears combined with the fact that this car has a buttload (technical term) of torque, and the graby clutch. You'll probably just learn to adjust your shifting/clutching to make it smoother. I'm getting better.
