I've done a search, but it seems most people are only posting and discussing acceleration times when doing G-Tech measurements. How many people around here have done power and torque measurements, and what have you gotten? I have a G-Tech Pro and Comp, and with cursory runs I've done in the past I've found that the Pro tends to return power numbers quite a bit higher than the Comp. I'm going to go do some more runs in the next few days with both units, so I'm wondering what others have gotten.
I don't recall what my Pro used to give me as a peak power reading (it's been quite a while since I'ved used it), but my Comp was showing only about 195 hp after a couple of runs I did a couple of weeks ago. I do understand that since the car is actually moving wind resistance comes into play (so results with a G-Tech will be lower than those done with a dyno), but 195 seems a bit too low. I'm wondering if I might not have it calibrated accurately enough, or if this is indeed the number most folks are getting.
I don't really care about the results being accurate, but I do want them to be consistent so I can measure power and torque changes after certain mods. Fortunately, G-Techs are known to be very consistent, so they're good for that. So even if mine is giving me readings that are too low, I guess that's okay as long as they are consistently too low.
I just wanted to see if my numbers are similar to what others are getting, or if they are totally off.
