Curious, I cant tell from the picture because the color is so off, but is your car one of the silver colors? I have a developing theory that Mr Joe AverageBadDriver doesn't see silver / pale gold cars. They blend into the color of the road. Since most are completely distracted driving, they just don't see it or stop.

 

Dude, that blows. It seems like the car that back-doored u seems to be a low car. I'm guessing you went out that day and had it parked somewhere. Parallel parking?

For this reason and others, I try to find spots that can single out my car from others. I'm willing to walk a bit than to suffer situations like yours.
