Default First Year Model Car

Don't get me wrong I do enjoy my Z. But next time I would wait till the 2nd or 3rd yr production of a new car. So far I had minor fixes. But recently the drivers side window was reset. A couple of weeks later the passenger side window sometimes doesnt work. Getting the motor replaced. Currently have 25k miles and everything else is going strong.

As the owner of an '03 I know what you mean, but I've known plenty of people with 2-3 yr. cars (various makes) and some of them aren't any better. I think it boils down to minor things, verses major things, and so far (though annoying) most of my problems have been minor.

I bet the 05 Zs are practically flawless.

I'd wait till the 2nd year just to not pay as much and I'd want to see what problems are out there for a daily driver....

I was hesitant with all the tire problems talk, but after 18k miles on my 04.5 it's been fine.

I wish that was true. It would make my buying decision so much easier.

First year production cars are definitely not as well built as those after it. I would know because I own a '02 RSX. First yrs usually have to deal w/ minor fixes of all kinds and pay quite a few more bucks over invoice as well.

I regret getting my RSX so early, so many damn fixes which my dealer won't acknowledge and paid MSRP >.>

I'm waitin' on the '06 Zs, and it should pretty much be flawless. I hope.

Yeah but there is nothing like being one of the first kids on the block with a new toy. Luckily the issues have been minor not like motors blowing.
