I think if you were thinking of an american sports car this would be a better choice:

Z06 is one of the best bangs for the buck in the higher end of the sports car range. Take it for a test drive and see how much you like it. I love driving my Dads Z06.

Modded Vette > Modded Z anytime.

Your ignorant and wrong. My dad contiuously gets around 30 mpg on 6th gear cruising on the highway with his Z06.

50K modded (500HP) vs. 100K (500Hp)

They have the same HP so this is a better comparison then 500HP vs 287HP. It's not my fault the Chevy is using the same interior that they use in the COBALT.

^Never blamed it on you.

I had a new Viper behind me a couple weeks ago... black one. Almost creamed my pants. They definitely win on looks factor, but they cost two arms and a leg.

This thread is turning into the Import Vs. American crap. They are both great cars. It's all about personal taste. You can find a used Z06 for the price of a new Z easy. The Z06 will out preform the Z, no ?. But style and looks are completely up to the person. I would go with the Z06.

I was talking about an 03 Z06 in my earlier post. I don't know what the 06's will get as far as MPG.

well i just sold my 00 c5 last night, the guy still hasn't picked it up. It was nice, and had some decent power. My car before that was a 450rwhp 00 t/a so the power didn't really shock me...but its a totally different car man...I hated the vette because I only drove it a few months out of the year, and had to have another car to drive the rest. Now i am getting a z and will drive it year round. They are fun, but as much as you don't think so it gets a little old having people stare at you all the time ( mine was yellow, chrome rims, custom stereo, lowered, modded so pretty loud) but if you want to have a fun car for a couple months out of the year go for it! but ill take a fun car i can drive EVERY DAY!!

If you like vettes then do it and don't look back. I am part of the group that just doesn't like the vette. the *** end looks like complete and total crap, and its a redneck lottery winners dream, but if thats what you are into I say go for it.
