I wouldn't buy stock pieces to put back on. I would look at some aftermarket bumpers, hatches, hoods, rims, brakes, suspension, etc.

I always appreciate people making posts like this. I think it reminds us all to be careful. Even making the best decisions possible to avoid a crash doesn't always work.

28 is still technically in the testosterone-driven stupid years, so you have a bit of an excuse.

The wheel in the passanger seat is the right rear wheel. It was taken off and the spare was placed since a flat bed was not in the area when it was towed.

The body shop I took it to happened to receive another Z from another client. That Z had the same amount of damage just in different places. It rolled over the same week I had the crash. The whole roof was caved in, the front/rear suspension all broke, but had no impact to the front or rear other than the bumpers. The shop cut off the whole roof and welded on a new one patched it up, fixed the suspension and is now ready for paint. Looks really good considering the condition it was in!

Those stock Bridgestone tires suck a$$ in any weather, but in rain especially. I am willing to bet that with some good tires on the car you would have stood a much better chance of not only being able to brake, but also handle the corner. I can't believe Nissan still puts that crap on the cars. If I was going to buy a new Z I would demand a different set of tires before closing the deal.

It's funny you say that because my dumb butt just purchased two new Potenza front tires since they blow out due to the crash. I didnt stop to think that the tires made a difference until they were installing them on the new rims! Oh well.....It doesnt rain to much here in Cali.
