Are those the stock calipers just painted? If so...how'd you get the 350Z on there?

They are powdercoated, and the 350Z is a vinyl sticker sold by JVD Graphics He posted them in this thread

I had the Hawks on my 03 Z and the dust went away. Guess what I got instead of dust, SQUEAL!

No thanks, I would rather have dust anyday over that annoying squealing!

Can anyone honestly say they don't have squealing on Hawks or others. BTW, I only had it at low speeds coming to a stop, very anoying!

And yes I bed them in properly!

The NISMO ones do not squeal at all, even under very hard braking.

Atleast they're not squeaking like my OEM Brembos. My Brembos have been squeaking since I took delivery of my car with 9 miles on the clock. I've currently got 3,788 miles and the squeaking is still there.

Yea mine were squeaking from day one, but 1700 miles later they have become much quieter. In cold temps they were especially bad until warmed up.

Not me. I had the dealer install them, and I am not sure what they did during the test drive, but I just drove out of the dealership normally without giving it a second thought. They also installed the calipers I had powdercoated at another place, and I know they had some issues cleaning some excess powdercoat that got where it wasn't supposed to...

you can wax your stock rims, that way the dust just pretty much slides right off.

you'll still see a little bit of dust after about a week or two, but it wont be anywhere as bad as if you didn't wax them.

Mine builds up lots of brake dust too. I thought it was just from my gravel road until I checked the posts on here. I'll probably get some Nismo brake pads.

1) Would powder coating them gunmetal or black be a good solution?....Or would they still be hard to keep clean?

2) How much would the very cheapest *new* rims be that are 20" and gunmetal or black?

Thanks!!!

I like the EBC Greenstuff:

I painted my Calipers while I was at it:

No squealing and they now dust less than the rear brakes do now.

They stop a lot better too.

They are only like $70 a set:

mecinoid ,

Thanks for your very prompt response ...I'm certainly leaning toward those now. Probably swing by the dealership this week to see how much they'll install 'em for me for or if they have any cheap darker rims.
