Default burning clutch smell

This is becoming a concern of mine, but the last 3 days, I can detect the smell of burning clutch emanating from the car... which is a cause for concern. I did take it drag racing on Saturday, but the car should not be smelling like burnt clutch for 3 days in a row... a big cause for concern. I did not abuse the car in any way in the last 2 days and I STILL get that smell...

When do you smell the smell, after you have left the vehicle? Maybe you parked on an incline and you were riding the clutch? Maybe...

The smell comes from inside the car when I open the door, I am pretty sure it is the clutch and not the exhaust fumes... But i'm due for my first oil change this week (2770 miles) I will get it checked out.

If you really roasted the clutch you could have glazed over the flywheel which takes a little while to burn off. But that takes a bit to do.

Hey ares, can you please explain that to me in little more detail. I'm just learning how to drive stick and I need all the tips I can get. What you said is it just, when you shift at lets say 3K, are you suppose to start at 3K when you go to the next gear?

Thanks
