Funny thing is my friend mentioned that it would have been better if I had a radar at the time. I don't think so. If so, I would have hit the brakes if I heard a beep resulting in me losing control. Ironic because I just bought the Escort X50, haha.

it was an 80 mph - 150 mph climb, but it think its pretty awesome, and it was all done in about 30 seconds. . . but then again Im gonna prove it:

And for you guys that say this is insane, it was done at 3 AM with barely any cars on the road, and guess what, Im gonna do it again.

BTW the Z is such a stable car, i have and 95 Integra with shocks/springs lowered 2" and I toss that car around at 115-120 all the time, the Z feels so much more stable, it makes the driver in my opinion SOOO much more confident. Common guys dont tell me you bought Z's just to know you can do 150+ but but only wanna do 120 mph. . . huh? Try it though, its fun.

fastest i have doen is somewhere between 280-285. that was in my E34 5 series with a M3 engine swap on the glorious autobahns in germany. fastest in the Z is 155. im not too keen on bouncing the speed limiters.

 

There were these two cars, a Mustang (non-GT, probably a 2003) and an Audi 1.8L A4, racing each other on the interstate zipping around and what not, so I gave it a little push and hit 143 before I had to brake for traffic... left those two in the dust.

 

When I test an '05 Z from the Nissan Dealership I hit 110mph with the salesman sitting beside. (Upon purchase of my Z I told him I wanted a different Z, not the one I test drove lol)

I too have maxed out fifth. Then at 3AM with NO CARS IN SIGHT I hit 156MPH. It's a bit scary how little travelling at high-speeds bothers me. I see any posts under 110MPH and think they don't count then realize its darn near twice the speed limit.

 

i've had the Z up to 150+ on three different occasions. the last time was the fastest ive gone in the Z, the digital speedo said 156 before i let off. still had a little bit of room left but my exit was coming up. ive gone 270 Kmh in a Ferrari F40 when i lived in Germany...i was the passenger, thats about 170mph. ive also been 165 in a single turbo supra with more room to go. id say it wouldve topped out at 180. sixth gear in a supra pulls like crazy compared to our 350s. gotta love the straight up pulling gear in the supra as opposed to our "overdrive" sixth gear. 100-110 is no thing for me on may to work on the country roads i take.

 

lol..one of my 150+ runs was on a sunday morning at 6 am passing a minivan that was 3 lanes over to the left. i wish i couldve seen the look on their face.
