Default My friend Phil one step closer to F1!!!

Our families have known each other forever and now he is one step closer. I helped his dad wrenching go karts as he was coming up. Would be pretty cool to have an F1 Driver as a friend!!

Its still a long road. My brother raced Formula A karts for a bit when he was in his late teens (until a bad accident). Lots of people that he raced with I thought for sure would be in CART or F1 by now...such as Andrew Bordin (who might have been in CART by now if he hadent injured himself on a demonstration lap in an NSX). He did however race with Sam Hornish Jr. quite a bit at National events and his favorite picture is one from an event where my Bro. is the focal point of the picture, leading Hornish. Cool to say that the guy BEHIND you in a picture is the IRL Champion.
I wish your pal Phil the best of luck. It would be great to see another North American in F1

Funny you should mention Bordin. I was at Cal Speedway that day waiting for my demo lap when he took the Japanese Pioneer Electronics rep around the track for that fateful ride in the NSX. Not good when you give one of your sponsors a skull fracture I believe it was.
