Default Bose afterbirth......

Finally.

Finally got my Bose amp replaced today and I think we have solved the problem. The mechanic said all this stuff wasn't necessary and ripping it out should improve the sound of the stereo. Hope he's right....

Seriously....

I had the nicest mechanic on the planet. He allowed me to take a few pics of the replacement process. The amp was not impressive:

Even with our photo session, the entire process lasted about 35 minutes...

I met ChromeZ there. He wanted to see my Clear Bra and hear the new amp.

Um, that's a lot of wiring.

It looks like way more work to replace that amp than I would have imagined.

We both felt there was a major improvement. I can actually listen to FM with the bass set at 0. No discernable loss of bass when playing the CD either...

No, it's not the Mark Levinson sound from the SC430 but it's not Emerson either...

I have Bose Gold in my Z (Z28 that is ) and I personally love it.. Its a 4 speaker surround with a sub. Sounds damn good.. Does the New Z Bose setup rock? Ive seen some amp issues, is this with every 350Z ? or is it just a few.

Happy Thanksgiving (now that my Bose is all better),

The dealer is Hanlee's Nissan in Richmond. Although I did not buy my Z there, the after sales service has been great.

I'm getting my amp replaced tomorrow! I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

BTW, I saw the Murano at the auto show last weekend and I have to say it was awesome. Very impressive.

Awesome and priced right. The Chrome Silver one pictured above has leather, HID, 6 CD in dash, Nav, AWD and 245 HP V6, all for $34K.
