I too was skeptical of this kit, ive been keeping an eye on it since the begining it looks really nice, changes the lines of the Z but still looks very clean...congrats on a nice ride...btw is that entire kit molded?

Score of 10 on "uniqueness." Score of 10 on ricer as well. The body lines have officially been destroyed IMO.

I like the kit. If the side vents are functional (or at least could be made functional) then that might be something I'd get for a Z :-P

Is it just me or is the rear hatch window down in this picture! If it is, I'd love to be able to do that in a Z so when you have windows down you'd have less airforce going againist you.

With the placement of the gas cap the hose at the pump is going to rub against the car and scratch.

I like it a lot. It's all a matter of opinion and people's opinion on rice is subjective. The JGTC GT500 Z definitely destroys the lines of the Z but I don't care I would love to have that...besides I've always been on the fence of the Z33 styling going along the lines of a melted jellybean and the front end being marginally meaner than a Neon's 'Hi!' If toyota had continued with the Supra I probably would've bought that instead to replace my totalled JZA80.

Your kit is IMO much more along the development attitude of people like Koenig for Ferrari or Gemballa cutting into a Porsche...radical in its approach but so much more thorough than the slap-on kits that appear to be more a kit of parts versus a complete design.

Keep up the good work and make sure the engine power gets up to speed with the body.

Not to be a jerk, but a JGTC car is that, a full out race car that is actually functional with a sequential gearbox and the whole nine. Big difference Seriously the front end shot looks like a hovering spaceship

Does the idea of pro racing make the GT500 Z beautiful or the function? If I had a street-driven 500whp Z (like some of the cars here), with my current setup of coilovers, cage, sways do I still fail to make your qualifications for having a cool car and become total rice? I don't know, if I had that kind of power I would like to be able to fit 330 tires but inevitably people on the street would call me rice. Is the Saleen S7 or Mclaren F1 rice since the only real differences between the race cars and street cars are interior appointments, safety equipment, and 1 race-use motors? I'm not trying to be a jerk either but when it comes to opinions about rice inevitably we at some point expose our own hypocrisies myself included because in the end opinions don't mean a lick. At the same time, calling somebody else's car a spaceship implies cruelly that your opinion is more important than the work and creativity of others when a simple 'I don't like it' would suffice.

It is functional, which is why I can give a pro race JGTC car props. A car with a cage, coilovers, etc that actually help performance is definitely more respectable. However, there has to be a line drawn somewhere between "functional" and "functional and just plain ugly." Do you remember the infamous riceboi pages that had a 96 prelude with a hood scoop the size of the Titanic? Is it functional? Probably. Is it nice at all? Not even close. Mazzoo (forum ID) has a sick widebody Z and I gave him props for that widebody (less the wing).

If you had 500whp, you would not really need 330's since it is probably unnecessary due to the simple fact that a street tire will slip up regardless and will be more added weight to your wheels. With that kind of power the best thing to do is to have some 16" drag slicks!

The difference between the cars you mentioned (ie. Saleen S7 and McLaren F1) and this particular car is obvious. They are apples and oranges because these are SUPERCARS and not any average Joe can afford these beauties!!! This Z is plain rice and of course that is my opinion. I am glad that people have different tastes or it would be a really boring world. However, I have the right to my own opinion and will comment positively on cars that deserve praise (keywords) in my opinion when I see fit.
