Default Is there a safe way to wash my Z with the bra on?

Yes, I am that lazy. Anyone have any ideas on washing my Z with the Black Nissan Nose guard on? My thought was to wash the car with the hood up. What would happen if I took it to a car wash for a wash and wax with the bra on?

E-mail or post any sugestions or comments.

Thanks,

Zlazystockbroker

Problem is, if you get it wet and let it dry on the vehicle, it could fade the paint.

You gotta take it off. If you leave it on it will fade the covered area different from the rest. I wash the mask while its on the car and hang it up to dry while I wash the car.

It's about 94 degrees out here, does that make a difference? Had the bra put on, anyone have instructions on easy way to take off? If I get clear bra is this a non-issue. Heading out to Palm Springs tonight for a weekend of driving, sun, pool, cocktails and blackjack. I appreciate your help. Sounds like I need to take it off every wash or get a clear bra.

Clear bra is not a problem at all, however, as others have stated...if you have the Nissan black fabric one it must be removed for every wash. What will happen is water will stay under the bra and the heat of the sun on black fabric will cause the water to heat up almost to a boil and cook your clear coat. Same problem you get if you have any magnet signs/ribbons on your car. Water gets under them and the sun boils the water which can eat into your clear coat and permanantly change the appearance of your car. That is why I would never put one of those fabric bras on...it rains a lot in Florida followed by immediate sunshine. It'd totally destroy the paint.

Thanks. I will take it off every wash and look at the clear bra option.

The big problem not mentioned about not taking it off is the fact that dirt can get under it with that water, and scratch up your paint. Good to see you're taking it off, and from what I've seen, the clear bra is the way to go.
