there is absolutely no way a z can keep up with an evo. trust me on that, stock for stock an evo is clearly faster everywhere. especially the 05 model. and i know this because i have owned both a z with lots of boltons and now an evo with something to it.
if he launched and you caught up with him then something is definitely wrong with him or his cars abilities.
not saying i even believe this story, but i have to clear up the bs in this thread.

.from rolling straight line runs they aren't very impressive. 350z can keep up 3rd gear and up fairly easy. I've race a few EVOs in europe and after a while they just die out. I had a few litteraly dissapear from rear view mirror on highway.

I have raced a stock one before....I beat it.
Was he racing? Yes, cuz he did a ricer fly by after I beat him. That is probably something you would do right?

But from a roll it would be alot closer, but i still think the Evo could pull.

That is a jacked up story with a happy ending... sort of, because that just breaks my heart to hear that a Z gets wrecked.
Oh, and BTW, EVO's only get 202.3 hp to the wheel. It's been tested over and over. Z's get about 240. So, yeah, you should never have a problem pulling on an EVO if you're rolling.
