Whats going on here?
Hello to all, I'm new to these forums I have been looking through for like 2 weeks. I like what I have seen you guys seem very knowledgable. I do have one complant though, what the hell is going on with the price of aftermarket parts for this car? An exhaust system should not be $1000+ thats crazy talk.

Coming out from the Honda world, you'll see that aftermarket parts are typically more expensive. I used to be from the Honda/Acura world and I've seen how the prices differentiate between I4 and V6 automobiles... plus the fact that Hondas (primarily Civics) are so affordable and concurrently purchased in greater volume, the aftermarket market is virtually saturated thus driving prices down. Then there is the fact that the 350Z is a dual exhaust system versus the typical single pipe systems inherent of most four-bangers...
Basically, the more expensive your toys, the more expensive are the things for it (parts, maintenance, gas [premium vs regular], etc.).

Give it another year or so and you will see a huge decrease in prices. infact a lot of the stuff is much cheaper than it was when the Z first came out, especially the turbo kits.
