What is corner balancing and how exactly is it done?

 

Bascially you get 4 scales, one under each wheel, and try to distribute the weight of the car according to your needs.

 

It only works with adjustable suspensions. Since all four corners of the car do not have equal weight distribution, they use the suspension to balance out the weight of the car to optimize handling.

 

Does it involve a professional expertise? Or it can be done easily at any local shop? Where can I get it done? Labor Cost? Any other parts needed other than coilovers? More detailed explanation would be highly appreciated.

 

I'm sure any local shop could do it.

As for doing it well...

 

I've never had it done personally, though I was going to until I got rid of the suspension on my car. I would put a post up in the Auto-x / Track forum as you'll probably get someone where who knows what its all about.

 

And some go as far to have the balancing done with the driver (or a weight) in the driver seat.
