Im so upset. I detailed my car today with its 11th. coat of Zaino. I went to the Church parking lot by my house since it is desolated to get some pics. While I was kneeling down taking a close up pic of the Z emblem on the side a Lexus with a carbon fiber hood and some loud "fake" exhaust came inside reving his engine and did 2 donuts around me. By the time I got up he was leaving burning tire. It was a 4 door small lexus that most people have, not even a high end one. Why do kids do this? It is stupid. They messed up my afternoon. I felt liek jumping in my car and chasing them down for a beating but I took control of myself and tried to forget about it. I just cant get their faces doggin at me when they where at a distance but oh well.........I got it out of my chest.

It's probably an IS 300.

Reminds me of the kid who, when leaving our 350z/ all make car meet, drifted his IS 300 over an island and got stuck there with some major undercarriage damage and SUPER positive camber.

Bad luck for him because a firetruck and squad car was in oncoming traffic watching the whole thing.

 

Are those Is 300's really that fast?

question about your rims: are those track rims? i thought there were only two types of rims, 7spoke 17's and 6 spoke 18's (those you have, i have them too but i own a touring edition) so what level rim are they? or were they an option for all the levels (i bought my z used)

No. Not at all, actually. They 0-60 in mid 7's, and 1/4 mile is in the mid to upper 15's. I mean they arent necessarily slow, but they certainly arent fast. I could think of better ways to spend 30+ grand. (350z? g35? lol. I'd probably take a new 3 series or C class over them for that matter).

Nope, they are not track rims. I wish they where though. LOL. They are the Touring 18's. They have the 17's, 18's (mines), and the track. Those are the 3 dealer options.

I used to use Meguiars too.........after I tried Zaino I fell in love with it on the spot. Now Im a Zaino addict.

 

Here are a few full side shoots. I rarely post them since I think that my rims dont do my body kit justice but what do you guys think? I know the Nismo kit would look better with other aftermarket rims but at least is it acceptable?

Put it this way, unless those kids are turbo charged or engine swapped, that's the only time they'll run circles around you.

 

I don't really get why you got that upset. It's just kids being stupid. If they hit your car, however, that'd have been a different story.

Honestly, I'd be pretty peeved if some kids drove into an empty parking lot and did burnouts around me, shooting dirty looks. ESPECIALLY after a nice Zaino job!

In some places, you'd get shot for that.
Jmc handled himself well, refrained from provoking, and came on the boards to vent his frustation.
No big deal.

 

My friend at work has an IS300, it's a really nice car but not really that fast. My friend actually called me up after racing a Z and he said he got his azz handed to him. After that day he has a new found respect for my car.

2jz turbo swapped IS300 are sex on wheels. Stock they're slow.
