Default ssr gt1's or ssr gt3's?

which do you like better? you can view the pics of jreed's gt3's on his thread but could someone put pics of gt1's on the Z? I like how the GT1's look bigger w/o the lip but then again the dish and the bolts onthe GT3's look nice too. On some pictures I just like stock wheels the best but on others aftermarket like the HRE's and SSR's,etc look SO nice. Please photoshop a pic if you can. Thanks!

The advantage to the SS1 is also that they are lighter by about 6 lbs. They also are less busy than the 3's which makes them fit better design wise with the Z's sparse lines. BUT the GT3s are great looking wheels....

so do you like them better than gt3's?

how do people choose b/w all these wheels? i mean i like the gt1s, gt3's, HRE's, I-forged, etc. but looking at a tiny picture doesn't really help you know? I'd want to put each on my car and decide haha which is impossible. with a stereo or something you can go see it and try it out and compare features and output and quality but w/ wheels I'm really a newbie and know nothing about different brands and which are crappy and which are stronger and which look better or are a better value, etc...

wow you're right they are light.
if you go to http://www.wheelspecs.com/specs/whee...s/371&sort=pcd it says the 18's are 0 lbs! that's gotta help the Z's performance LOL. seriously though they aren't bad cuz the "super-lightweight" ray's are 18lbs right and these are like 20/21lbs...

anyone have a pic of the GT1's? Is there a better rim? I like HRE but get the impression that they are REAALLLLY expensive - is this right? I can't justify like $4000 for wheels when there are plenty of nice $2000 wheel sets out there. what about the integral's?

haha go to SSR's website the pic of the lexus is hilarious imho http://www.speedstar.co.jp/ the deep dish rears is um a little much on a lowered lexus.

I guess I don't understand a lot about wheels - what the R means, the offset that's good for the Z, different kinds of machined lips, etc. I just want an affordable, lightweight, strong, GOOD looking rim that doesn't look tiny - you can get a 20" rim with so much lip and bolts and weird stuff that it looks like a 13" rim but then you can get like a 17/18" rim that looks malproportioned. It sucks b/c i really would want to see these in person. For instance, even if I decided on the SSR GT3's, I wouldn't know whether to get 4 of the same or get GT3-R's for the rear or what...

also tho, i don't understand why all of these aftermarket wheels are SO MUCH MONEY! they aren't worth like 3-5 grand just for wheels!

do they have to have the center cap that says ssr or can you get a nissan one or is that not possible b/c the cap is different finish/size/etc. than one that would say nissan?
