Default Sometimes life just deals you C r a p

I came home tonight after work and decided to do a quick wash and 3rd layer of zaino. Backed the car into the garage and heard a noise that I shouldn't have heard. I got out to notice that my sons bike was up against the wall and I must have just hit it slightly. He has these pedals that have sharp edges so I decided to grab the shop light so I could see if there were any scratches. I was very happy to find that nope, not a blemish.

THEN... the shop lights wire spool that was directly above the center of the roof FALLS OFF and bounces twice on the roof before hitting the ground. I could not believe it. I put the light there 15 years ago and it has never fallen off. It's like it's been waiting for that moment.

One small dent with a little paint removed on the exact center and on the left back corner of the roof a 1/4" where the paint is right down to the metal.

At least it's nice an shiny..

Bad day, indeed. I hate when things lie in wait for you, and inflict some unexpected and undeserved trauma. Nowhere to go but up. It's shiny now, but w/in 48 hrs. it'll start to rust if it's down to bare metal. Get it dealt with, is my advice. "Rust Never Sleeps".

Sorry to hear of your troubles, ken350Z. Had something similar happen to me early this year...putting away some stuff in the upper storage shelves in the garage...tell myself to move the car...nawww...I won't drop nuthin'...decide not to move the car...oops...dang...dropped something...damages spoiler...air turns blue in the garagewith loud and heartfelt curses...then day brightens as I realize it's my chance to replace the stock spoiler with a Stillen Series 1 spoiler...but then...dang...have to add the rocker panels, new front fascia and rear valance...darn...

That led me to more "fixes"...mod fever has set in all because I had an oops...be careful, ken350Z, be verrrry careful. LOL

Same thing happened to me years ago when I thought I bumped something, went to check it out, and accidently bumped a ladder that *was* leaning against the wall. *Was* being the operative word, as it proceeded to fall on my Porsche's front fender!

:: looks at fender with ladder resting on it with that eyes wide open blank stare ::
