Default Going to purchase the Z soon..a few questions

Hi everyone,
This is my first post here although I've been lurking around for the past few months=)
I will be purchasing the Z very soon..within weeks or so.
I will be trading in my 03 Altima 2.5s, which I still owe around 11G.
I have a couple of questions for all you Z owers here~

First of all, I saved up 10G for downpayment. Would it be better if I were
to take that all in cash when I do the deal? Would that make any better Impact on the negotiation? Or it wouldn't really make a difference?
wouldn't the dealer like cash money better?

Second, my co-worker is willing to take over the payment on my Altima if I sell the car to him. I know that would be a better idea cuz dealer won't gimme full value of trade-in (which is about 11G - so my load of 11G minus dealer trade-in = a G or two on top of my Z cost)
I was just wondering how this works. Has anyone done this and hand over your payment to someone else?
And would this impact my credit? (Dealer thinking I handed over the payment cuz I couldn't afford the payment, etc)

Lastly, when will the 06 models arrive at the dealership? If they do come in soon enough, I wouldn't mind waiting a bit for updated interior and more hp.

I would appreciate your feedback guys. Thanks in advance.

1) dealers always like cash more than anything.

2) just talk to the lien holder about it. they'll set u up.

3) no idea. and the only confirmed update so far is an updated interior. the hp increase is stilla rumor. i'm also wondering when the 06 comes out, cuz i might get one if the price is the same.

(1) Sell your current car to co-worker.

(2) Arrange financing BEFORE you go to buy the Z.

(3) Amount down makes no difference to dealer; he gets paid anyway. But the more down the better.

(4) Know exactly what you want (model, options) when you walk in to dealer.

(5) Your at the dealer SOLELY to negociate price. You should be paying $1000-$2000 below MSRP.

Brickyard is right. I just bought a Touring SB 05. It's being trucked from N.Y. I did exactly what rat said. Enjoy!
