Question 2 door thing

The 350z is a very nice in all aspects but since Im gonna get a car in about 2 months I started thinking about the 2 seeter thing.??
Have any of you Z owners had troubles for it just being a 2 seeter (drawbacks)?
I know the G35 is a good alternative but it doesnt have the looks of the Z..
thanks is advance.

the 2dr thing didnt bother me. you just have to ask yourself how often you have 3+ people in the car. Also, whenever you did have that many people, were there any alternatives?
for me, i couldnt say the last time i had 3+ people in my car and i wasnt volunteering..so it was a simple solution. granted i have a g35, ive never *had* to have anyone in the back seat. in fact i sort of like it because its an excuse NOT to drive people around....

Another thing is, almost everyone I know has a car. So, it's not really a problem to find a 4-5 seater if it's needed.

If you're like the pimp daddy of your circle of friends and you're the only one with a car, then get a 7 seater SUV instead. But if you know people with 4-5 seaters, let them drive when you're all going out together.

I like the idea of a 2 seater, actually.... but overall I am definitely happy I got the G35 Coupe over the 350 due to storage space, nicer interior, sunroof, the possibility of getting Brembro Brakes coupled with leather seats, side-impact air-bags, etc for the price. I don't say that to put down the Z at all, these are just thoughts that I had to consider a year ago when deciding between getting a 350Z and a G35 Coupe.

With a 2 seater, you don't have to cart people around all the time and it helps you avoid those conflicts that might come up when people try to force you to be the regular chauffer for your crew. My friends tend to be leechy like that, and always use the excuse "but we want to go out in the pimp-mobile!" ....when in reality, they just don't want to drive ever. But I'll be damned if I'm always going to be the designated driver or the sucker who has to rack up milleage and a huge gas bill on his car. Having a nice car should be a privelidge, not a punishment.

So I just bite the bullet, tread onto the foresaken ground, and make it clear to my friends that when we go out partying, we all are going to evenly split up the driving duties from week to week.

If they made the G35 Coupe in a 2 seater, I would still have gotten it and not cared at all, except for cargo space.

I should also mention that I am 27 years old and don't have any children of my own to cart around... since this is very pertinent information, given the subject matter at hand.

I bought the Z specifically because it was a two seater. I love the look of the G35 and liked the idea of the extra seats but kept thinking back to the days of my 2 door Golf GTi VR6 when I would have to pick up the kids and do things like bring home large items. Now I don't have that problem. Of course I no longer have a girlfriend with kids either... and never will again!

2 seats has advantages and drawbacks. I do sometimes miss being able to have more than one passenger in my car at a time, but the bright side is that nobody ever asks me to be the designated driver!!!

Also, there isn't much room in the Z which is quite annoying when trying to transport things.

Not an issue for me. Its just me & my fiancee. No kids (yet), so the two seater does me fine. I used to have a Accord Sedan & the back seat look the same condition-wise as the day I traded it in as the day I bought it brand new & I had the car 5 years!

I agree about the transport issue. Not much space in the back. Good for small items, but don't try to put any large back there.....

2-seater sux sometimes. I had three girls I wanted to take with me one night, but the Z only has two seats! I cursed my luck, kicked the curb, punch the air! Then I fitted two of them in the front seat, and the other one layed comfortably in the hatch, under the strudbar....never had I been so scared of getting a ticket.

No kids.

One of my wife's girlfriends calls the Z a selfish car as only two can enjoy it at once.

actually i find having a two seater helps me save gas money - i never have to drivers the guys at work out to lunch anymore, we pile into someone else's car that has more seating capacity.

the only problem with a two seater i can see so far was pointed out to me by my boss when i let him check it out... he was sitting in the driver's seat - and said, "man, it's ironic, here's a car that is designed to get you women, and then once you get 'em in here, there's no room to do anything with them in here!" - my boss is money.
