I just can't believe someone just trying to get the sheet off from them by just saying "that can buff right out..." WTF
My old car was rear ended and the driver who hit me also trying to get off by just saying it's so minor and he doesn't want to settle thru insurance....at last, his insurance is still paying.
Good luck fixing it, I don't think you wanna get an aftermarket bumper cuz your cf lip might not work with them. Check around the forum for old SB bumper and save whatever is left to mods

thanx for the support guys. The insurance is going to FIX the bumper instead of getting me a new bumper...it's ok, worse comes to worst, my buddy here has a SB bumper he doesnt need...he has the vertex kit. I'll let you guys know how it turns out.

Your before pictures remind me of my front bumper due to rock chips =)
BTW I just had the hood, fenders and bumpercover repainted and will get my car back tomorrow WOOT. *thanks to the rock chips*

I don't understand why California acts soo tuff on street racing and mandates destruction of the street racer's(s') car. Yet, California is unable to impose the same law on uninsured drivers or get them off the streets.

I can only imagine your pain... one, you just get you're sweet car. two, you put a whack of effort into it and just start enjoying it. Sorry to hear about the incident. Thankfully it's a relatively quick fix and it didn't bang up all your goodies. The downtime still sux though.

Caught a big rock in the front fascia. Your's looks pristine compared to mine! I'm in the process of researching body kits and will soon just mod the heck outta the Z.
I can't post the pic of the front fascia and body kit I found (exceeds the pic size allowed here - does anyone know how I can fix that or resize jpeg files? If there is a thread about that here, my apologies, please pass along that info!) but I am just working on finding some info on a front fascia I found at

An Update on my front fascia search. Techno has a JDM style body kit. The front fascia looks exactly the same, except someone tacked on the Z emblem to it, as the one at

They should legalize Bingo in all states to keep them off the street. 24hr Bingo hall. It's funny going in to casinos here. None of them look happy playing nickel slots or worse yet pennies. Casinos are milking them.

I feel for you mate. Old people are nothing but trouble on the road.
A couple of years ago I had a honda integra Vtir. Some young girl reversed into my bumper so I made her stop and got here insurance details etc and it was all ok.
The next day I am parked out the front of the panel beater to get a quote for a bumper respray and this old lady reverses into me in a range rover at about 10km/h..can you believe it!.. while I'm getting the friggin quote for the bumper repair someone else drives into me!! She refused to believe that she had reversed into me even though I was standing there with the panel beater and we had both watched her drive straight into the bumper that he was examining for the repair quote! haha.
I was lost for words and told her to just go before I explode.

There's an old woman here in Tucson who has become kind of a legend for hit and run/refusal to give info after bumping other cars in the Albertson's lot.
Her (and others'. I'm sure) repeated refusal to provide id and insurance info has led most local cops to cite a refusal to give info, even if it's been provided after the cop arrived and ordered it, as a Criminal Traffic offense, ie hit and run.
Also, in AZ, a cop can ORDER mandatory driver retesting as part of the ticket. Needless to say, this option gets used most often on elderly drivers whose abilities seem questionable. I think it's a good idea that ought to get used more.

Man i know how you feel, old ppl.. damn them... I dont care if they are someone grandma, whoever that grandchild is should take away their license.
