I am completely following the break in rules, but the question I have is, can I slam the gas down upto 4,000rpm, and then shift into second, and slam it till 4,000rpm? I wouldn't in 3rd+ gears, but is that okay in 1st and 2nd, or should I not do that? I don't do it often, in 500 miles, I might have done it 3-4times, but shift right away at 4,000 rpm.
Yay, or Nay to do it seldomly (Maybe once every 75-100miles)??

alright. i was told by my dealer keep it under 4000rpm but sometimes punch it to 4,000 and ****, just so the car gets some power. He said if it's always driven slow for 1200 miles, when you slam it after that, it doesn't adjust very well..

theres nothing magical about 1200miles that before if you break 4000rpm the engine will explode but after its good. you just work your way into it. since 600miles Ive taken it a tad higher to near 5 and 6000, even redline once or twice. only in 3rd. now that Im at 1100miles I drive it pretty much normally, tho I dont excessivly floor it.
