My shift boot looks really good when I jam it down where it should be. A few shifts later and the think is up again.

I keep pushing the leather boot back down and it continues to work it's way up the shifter.

It is still connected at the bottom of the shift **** but the boot actually stands up higher than the bottom of the shift **** and the bottom of my hand touches it when I shift.

Does anybody else's shift boot do this?

itll get softer with use. eventually itll crack and need to be replaced.

 

Maybe I'll try a heavy coat of Lexol, maybe that will calm it down a little.
