Which dealership are you going to be getting your service done at?

My steering wheel seems crooked as well. It has to be at a slight left in order for the car to go straight. If the steering wheel straightens out, it'll start pulling to the right. So any updates from anyone who has taken it in recently? If my steering wheel is crooked, is that considered a drifting problem?

I have the agree with the above posts

I have to hold the steering wheel at a slight left angle in order to go straight.

when I am on the freeway and set the steering wheel straight..the car will completely make a right lane change within a few seconds.

I am going to take it into the dealer before I put on my aftermarket wheels

My wheel needs to be held to the left a little too. The alignment seems alright though, from that slightly left being the reference point. If you hold it there on a pretty straight road it'll stay tracking straight.

I've taken it back twice already to Nissan. They just cant seem to set it so that the straight position is where the "Z" is centered. I pretty much gave up. If the alignment is not out, the slightly left wheel isn't too much of a big deal I guess.

Same exact problem with my 05. I took it back to dealership 2 days after I bought it and told them that my steering wheel was cocked to the left and when I put it in the center, the car would change lanes. They gave it an alignment and it seemed to be better for about a month but now the problem is back. Now that I know about this TSB I will be back at the dealership on Monday.
Thanks for the info.

I don't think it's normal when my car rolls back even when i pull it ALL the way up.

Thanks for the TSB info.
My '03 does that too! I parked it and pulled the e-brake and I think for some reason it wasn't in gear (I always leave it in gear) and it started rolling down the hill! Maybe I should take it back to the dealership.

My 2003 Z's E-Brake has been loose since the day I bought it used. I thought it was abuse by the previous owner, but it looks like I'm wrong.

For you 2005 Owners: TAKE ADVANTAGE OF YOUR WARRANTY and MAKE them honor it. Tom Peacock Nissasn (houston, tx) lied to me and said that the compression rod was already replaced on my car after they took it in for that TSB. Now my warranty is up and they won't do anything.

Keep Hammering the dealerships over and over again until you get what you NEED.

That's just pathetic for a 2005 car with 3k miles to pull to the right.

When I sold my 2003 VW GTI with 25k miles, it was perfectly straight since day one and never had an alignment.

I'm gonna take my car to the dealer tomorrow. I got an 05 Enthusiast with almost 3K miles on it. I'll let you guys know what goes down.

I'm also thinking about getting my windows tinted. I hope the grease streaks don't screw it up though.

Default There is no fiXX~~~~~~

Guys , I hate to be the bad news guy, but there is NO fixx that willwork on this pull to the right issue.... The compresion rod TSB is BULL!!!!! I had nothing but probslems with my 03 Z, and after to expert witnesses looking at the car and one an Engineer...they conclusion was that Nissan can not fix this problem...The pull to the right is also a major indicator that you will gwet tire featering at some point!.. I don't mean to sound negative but just want and wish to give accurate information as I have battled nissan for 1 1/2 tears over the pull issues and tire featearing...These is no FIXX!!! If there was one, nissan would have done it becuase I can assure you it would have cost them much less then what it is in the COURTS!!!!! Guys i hope this helps in some way, but please , Please! don't expectthe dealers to eb anle to fixx this, becuase they just can't ..even if you bring it in 5 times, and if it's better for a month, it will come back! Nissan design Defect on our Z's

Suprised with this major tire feathering issue, no aftermarket company has a complete upgrade for the front suspension (redesigned front suspension). I would think this would be easy money for them considering so many people have this issue.

I have an 05 with same problem. Not uncommon appearantly, but when I took mine in they let a little air out of one of the tires which helped nothing. I recently had the alignment redone, again no help. I think the TSB concerning the compression rod sounds like the answer, but convincing the dealer ... ?

Not to sound negative buy i had the compresion rod done on my 03 and so many alighnments and it did absolutly little to NOTHING!!!! a complete waste! I had a professional auto engineer that knows the problems of teh 350z very weel examine my car b4 it went into LAWsuit agianst Nissan and the comp rod is going to do nothing...If it pulls after the fisrt few hundred miles or right away like my did,,little will make it go away and nothing that nissan does will fixxit becuas ethere is no fixx..Again, I'm not trying to be negative but just honest and unforunatly know all too much about the featering pull to the right problem , as I had to SUE Nissan until they finally bought it back, other then that they will not buy it back! They know a certain # will go all the way an file suit and most will not!
