I remember back when I purchasing my Z (*ahem Nov. 2002 *ahem*), there were only a few Z's in the showroom. The first dealer I talked to showed me a book when I was trying to decide on color. In the book it listed projected production numbers of each color for the 2003 model year. Leemi's list is pretty much dead on to what I saw.
White and redline were going to be the least produced (somewherw around 8%, and brick was a close third around 10-12%. The two silvers totaled 55% ish and DB was going to be like 20 or so...this is what a vaugely remeber for %'s but you get the point.
White is a great color...but I couldn't have made a better choice.

well, im gona have to give it a few more weeks...
my original plan was to get a PPW 350 at the local dealer auction (my fathers a car dealer) and it would be much cheaper. The problem with this is ofcourse having to wait forever to even see a 350Z come for sale... let alone the color/transmission I want.
I guess im left with no choice... unless I can find a private seller... or my luck one comes up in the auction... I might have to save an extra 10G's and make the trip down to Quebec...
Gona try and test my patience.

Here's the breakdown from a sample of 1,845 responses on Z colors.
Silverstone 20%
Chrome Silver 20%
Super Black 15%
Daytona Blue 14%
Pikes Peak White 8%
Redline 8%
Lemans Sunset 7%
Brickyard 5%
Unspecified/Other 2%
Liquid Aluminum 1%
Ultra Yellow <1%
Looks like UY and LA are the rarest according to this survey but those colors also cost extra.

Honestly I tink you're having a hard time because there just aren't that many for sale. And if you narrow your search to a specific trim level it will be even harder to find. Heck it was tough to find my BY Touring when it was new. Imagine how hard it would be to find use.
Keep looking & be patient. You'll find the one you're looking for. Look at it this way, The longer it takes the less it will cost due to depriciation.

Try looking for a TRACK ed. in PPW for sale! Now that is near impossible. But I settled for a Track ed SB, which I am very happy with. Keep looking and GOOD LUCK! (You'll need it)
