My wife hit a pothole on our Audi and it was $1000 for the new wheel/tire/alignment. Our insurance didn't go up at all.

How old are you?

If you have full coverage then your insurance will make you pay a deductable amount and then cover the rest of your expenses.

If you had to pay then it would be kind of pointless to have insurance...

Dam, i feel your pain. Im going threw the same pain. I was rear ended this past tuesday. Will post pictures. My rear bumper is damage beyond repair, right side rear quater panel buckeled that will have to be repair or replaced. My Nismo exhaust will have to be replaced unless they can fix the tip to match what it was, but im thinking not. Plus the trunk floor in the corner has buckeled. I could be looking at 5-10k in repair. At lest i got the guys ins. info. and since i was rearend his ins has to cover all of it

Well, My car is back! Just installed a new shift **** (the ss one from sharif), a new shiftboot from redlinegoods.com to compliment the shiftknob, the brand new sp1986 injen CAI, and the straight tip injen exhaust. Love it and I am glad to have it back. Rivertown Collision Center in Kenner, LA did a great job.

You must be one hell of a driver...I'll be on the lookout for you at NASCAR/IRL, and why not, maybe even F1 events...

Yea, the first one was with 10000 miles on stock tires. I was driving the speed limit on the interestate but it was raining so hard that the road ways were puddling. I wasnt familiar with the area and my car was very slippery on the roadway so I tried to stay behind other cars so I wouldnt hydroplane. Well, I guess that didnt work, I hydroplanned into a concrete barrier doing 70mph. The damage was huge because the suspension in the rear was damaged. I wont say that was not my fault but it could have happened to ANYONE! It was really a freak accident, I wasn't driving aggresively or anything, it just was a bad luck day

Don't worry about coming to see me at nascar, though, I will be over to your neck of the woods in a few. I have to ger rid of some brush that was blown down in the recent hurricane that passed over us and I think someone in your trailer park was looking to use the wood and build a deck.

There are some plans where if you are found at fault of the accident, like you rear end someone, you pay for your car where your insurance pays for the person you rearended car. And then another part of the plan is, if anything happens on the road, like hitting a pothole, coyote darting infront of you (mother ****ing coyotes need to die **** dumbass coyotes!), or anything that really was not your fault, they will fix your car and cannot raise your rates.
And your insurance is cheaper this way, but i really dont suggest it.

Sorry to hear about the accident ... techincally you were in the wrong .. but that lady should NOT have been sitting there. However, if she wasn't sitting there, would you have even been able to stop for the upcoming intersection? Or would you have possible gone in to perpendicular traveling traffic and caused something worse to happen?

Glad to hear the car is getting fixed...and those new goodies will make it feel like a new car all over again. Enjoy that shift ****, I love mine.

I am actually going to take the other guy's side here and ask why you were doing 70mph on a puddled highway with 10000 mile stock tires?

Why not go 50mph. .... whats another 20 minutes on the road to get to where you need to safely?

Right on. After you drop off the brush maybe you can stop by for a few driving lessons. Sounds like you need them...bad...

Well, like I said before its fixed. Car is as good as new! The people telling me to slow down, I will take your concerns into consideration but I am just being honest, I don't drive crazy or stupid. I was doing under 30 mph in the second wreck, I guess it was just one of those days or something. I was definatly in the wrong and I paid for it. I am just glad to have my car back.

About the headlights, I actually got the passenger side headlight replaced when the car was fixed and then purchased another for the right side. I might be sticking with the amber strips for good, I loved the clear headlights but it really needs clear strips. The other option was getting boogeymike to paint my headlight housings black and my amber strips silver. But 300 dollars for that mod seems a bit steep.

Anyway I picked up a new hobby and my girlfriend shares my interest in it. So all of the money I was spending on my car will be going to something new. My car is basically finished anyway. I am very happy with everything that is on it.

slowing down on a Z?... you just hit the brakes and it stops right away... hmm... thats what i thought...i also thought the Z is very safe, you can speed up/slow down in a matter of milliseconds, heh... from 30mph you should've stopped very quickly, unless you saw her after you already hit her, lol... you probably not telling us the truth about your speed, but seriously tho... at 30 mph, you pretty much stop as soon as you hit the brakes (well, not right away, but you know what i mean) ... was it raining hard? were you going faster then 30? What kinda fukced up intersection is it, that you cant see the car and if you do you hit it???
