What kinda fukced up intersection is it, that you cant see the car and if you do you hit it???
Anyways, it wasn't raining just yet, it had waited untill I was done getting in my wreck. I dont know how else to describe it. I was doing somewhere in the 25mph range looked over my shoulder at the other section of traffic coming into the intersection to make sure it was clear. As I looked back I realized someone was stopped sitting there. I slammed on the brakes and steered to the left to avoid hitting her but I realized that there was a car in the lane I was going to bail into and decided it would have been worse so I just kept on the brakes and nailed her. The actuall collision was at no more than 15 mph, you can clearly see that in the pics of the damage. The fact that all I hurt was a fender bumper and headlight shows I was not going fast at all. I hit a ****ing van for god sakes and all that was wrong with her car was a beat up bumper in the end of it. I have no reason to lie
ps: Yea I should have been going slower in my first accident. I guess I didnt want to be the slowpoke pulled over in the slow lane, now when it starts pouring I dont even drive the speed limit. I am super careful now. You know, it is really easy to sit back after things happen and say you should have done this or that, but when you are in a situation that has never confronted you before you make certain decisions that ultimately become mistakes or lead to bad things happening. Its how we all learn, at least I wasn't hurt.

did you say "I have already fixed my z for 13 grand" and "I should have been going slower in my first accident"?
Thanks AGAIN for making MY insurance rates that much higher. Not all of us are covered under mommy's policy so do us all a favor and practice being a defensive driver.
Lord help us all if he ever gets a turbo

You should also check with your state and local laws to see if rights on red are even allowed. These laws can be different between towns right next to each other, like a little municipality and the major city it is next to.
For instance in Denver it is legal to make a U-Turn unless there is a "no U-turn" sign but in Boulder it is illegal to make a u-turn unless there is a "U-Turn" sign (and there aren't any). In Boulder you had better know exactly where you want to go and how to get there or you will have to drive to Denver to turn around. That's why I loved my old beat up Jeep Grand, I would just drive over those stupid, huge road dividers.

Like I said before I am tired of explaining it. No matter what I say this thread is headed nowhere. I said I was at fault.
What is your age and your insurance deductable? But besides that in all honesty, your insurance rates are going to raise to a point where you might even want to consider not putting in a claim and just paying for your own damage as well as the other womans damage, since it might even be less or around the same as your insurance rates that are going to skyrocket when they see a young driver has rearended another vehicle at fault.
I don't have anything against you, but it sounds like you are trying to pin this on her a little more than she deserves.

My insurance didn't increase too much. I am 20 my deductable is 1000 dollars. Yea, it is a huge deductable but I really cant afford to do any lower deductable. It isnt so bad.

I guess I will let this thread sink, everytime I update it someone else has some smart *** comment to say and the bandwagon continues.

So you demanded to call the police because ...... *drum roll* You just had to have a ticket? lol. I'm so confused on this one.. you were in the wrong *legally anyways* so if you want to claim insurance you can still do it without a cop to write a report especially since you were the at fault driver who rear ended her. Eeeek! *shakes head* Oh well glad your z wasn't too messed up and you're lucky the lady didn't milk your insurance with medical bills, pain and suffering, ect from neck pain *happened to me when i was 17 and rear ended a woman for doing something similar...she started moving and I followed but she abruptly stopped because the wind changed directions I'm guessing *no cars for miles* and i rear ended her
We should start a community fund to raise money to send this kid to driving school. It will save us money in the long run. He is not only endangering lives but our insurance rates are suffering. I will start:
I Matthew pledge $5 to send this kid to a defensive driving class to better his young mind.

this is harsh guys, I back you up somewhat, when i got in my accident I was 18, its not like I or you were really being stupid, this happens to anyone at any point in their lives, its not like you were doing 100 miles around a corner trying to look cool, and saying that he should get hurt worse next time is just ****ed up thing to say, makes you look like a real *******, just learn from your mistakes, I did, you took care of the situation very well so dont let other people get to you, we all do stupid **** sometimes

Anyone else in on the "send Conceyted to driving school fund?"
So far we have raised $5 but with your help we could save this kid and others lives.
We are up to $15. Do I hear $20? All we are asking for is 20 people to donate $5 to send this poor kid to a defensive driving school in his area. The full 8-hour class offered in most areas costs close to this (I paid in VA) so if you have paypal please join. With only five dollars you can insure lower insurance rates for the life of your Z as well as promising safety to your loved ones.

Just curious as to how old you were when this happened?
