Yeah, odds are it is a newer gate model with a random code . . . there are instructions on how to do it, but I've never tried.

i've programmed my homelink to my rolling code garage opener... its pretty simple ... BUT, problem is you need to be able to access the brain of the gate. I have to assume you can't do that since, obviously, that would make it a useless deterent to anyone else. Maybe security can give you access and help you out?? Then again, they would need to know if the gate even has a program button like a garage opener does.

I only have problems when I follow someone in and can get the gate ot go back up, but if I am alone or the first in line no problems.

You'd be surprised to see how these gates are really just a deterent for small time thieves. Most have a button on the side of the motor to allow the fire or police dept through . . . Check it out, you might be able to access the "brain" without any problems.

I have this same issue with the gate @ my aparment complex garage. I'm unable to get the remote to program so I am assuming it is a rolling code gate also. I'm not able to tell if there is a button on the motor as its pretty tough to see up there. I asked my apartments maintenance guy & he as much of a clue as a brick in the side of the garage complex. Plus it would be pretty suspicious looking if I were to get out a ladder & starting looking at it.

Anyone know a work-around?
