Statistically, the single year colors are going to be the rarest. After the initial year for them, the oldest are going to be more rare as some are eliminated by wrecks and repaints. San Marino Blue and Orange may be rare now, but IMO by Summer SMB won't be..too many raves about it. I think interlagos fire will be the rarest as not too many were sold and the cost to repaint them the same color is already very expensive.

I happen to see a lot of PPW were I live, which is very sunny. Maybe there is a coincidence of bright colors going with sunny places because they reflect the UV rays from the sun and don't get as hot as black or darker colors. I know thats the main reason I buy my cars white; UV reflectance.

Around here it seems more like
80%- all the silver and grey colors (sorry forget the name the all look the same after a while.
10% - Daytona blue
5% Black
2.5% lemans susnest orange etc.
2.5% all the others.

I had a Brickyard and people used to ask me if I had my Z custom painted. I think I've only seen two or three other Brickyards in the Bay Area and we have a lot of Zs. I've seen more UYs and IFs here than the BY. I'll tell you this though, when I had my body kit added, the paint shop had a tough time matching it. Apparently, it a mix of a few colors and getting the metallic flake density to be even with the rest of the car was hard.

A lot of the Z colors are two and three step paints. A local guy with Liquid Aluminium had a minor accident that scraped a small spot on his rear fender. The shop all but told him that the only way a fix was going to look right was for them to repaint the whole car. It was going to be impossible for them to match the factory paint job. That lead me to believe that they were going to paint it something that resembled L.A. but it was never going to be a true L.A. paint job.
