Want mods to reach 200+ mph help
Pardon me, it's time to feed the troll:
Zirious - you have no idea what the hell you are talking about, or even asking. You have beyond unrealistic expectations with the knowledge you have. So, to accomplish your goal, you must get someone else to do everything for you.
Take your car to a performance tuning shop. Tell them your expectations.
After they laugh at you for a few minutes, tell them they can take your car for as long as it takes. Find a shop that is willing to make it into their project car. Let them make any and all decisions necessary with regards to purchasing performance parts, building up your engine, selecting boost, tuning the engine, etc. Give them a budget...you will probably need at least $20k if not more in parts and labor to get close to your goal. But be prepared to spend more. Downforce and aerodynamics will become a serious issue, which need to be carefully considered as well. Your car will have to be low to the ground, so low that hitting any kind of pothole or bump, or rock, could cause you major damage and could cause you to lose control. In the end, keep it on the track...your car will be far from street legal and we don't need idiots doing 200 on the freeway.
If this sounds realistic to you, be my guest. There's no shame in knowing absolutely nothing about cars and mods as long as you're willing to pay the price for someone else to know it for you. And do everything for you... and it won't be cheap. You will be paying a handful of people for their labor over a long period of time, at least a few months; as well as a rediculous amount of money in parts.

My take on this. It's a lot easier to get the power to reach 200 mph than it is to control the car at those speeds.
No one is going to be able to help you out on the aerodynamics portion of this unless they've got a wind tunnel and experience working in fluid dynamics.
Please do not try this, chances are you are going to end up as a statistic if you do.

that in the stream car, made another car and it hits 200 no problem now.its in the option vidoe eight i think.with him in his new car.butthats off the topic have u even top'd out the z yet.if so just think of how the car reasonded and X it by 20 or something just because its only 50 mph faster doesnt mean its only coming to be a little bit different, every little thing u hit on the road or every little move u make is going to make the car move all the way across the road.

in a 6mt... put in the 3.1 final drive gear... remove speed limiter...
put it in 6th... hit accelerator... wait... wait... wait... watch out for traffice... wait... wait... your there...

Yes, please attempt your 200 MPH run on a public road. With the exception of whoever you kill, the world will have one less idiot in the gene pool.
The only safe place to attempt something like this here in the US (that you would have access to) is the salt-flats or at the Silver State Race in NV, but you better come prepared 'cause those guys don't jack around with safety at all.
Here's my reply on your other thread on another forum. BTW guys, he wasn't asking anything other than part recommendations, not life recommendations. It's his life, let him do what he wants with it.
1.) There are a few turbo kits that can do this.
2.) APS tallboy plenum and stealth don't go together. I suggest a plenum spacer or something of the sort.
3.) How much autocrossing or road course driving do you plan on doing? Quite a bit = Tein FLEX coilovers, not too much = Tein Basic coilovers.
4.) True-Dual Catalytic-Converter-Back means that two pipes run from the end of the test pipes/high-flow cats/OEM cats to either one or two mufflers (one muffler with two exhaust outlets (tips) or one muffler with one exhaust outlet (tip) or two mufflers with one exhaust outlet (tip) on each muffler)
5.) Do you have emissions? If not, i'd suggest something more free-flowing like non-resonate or resonated test pipes.
6.) Ok.
7.) If you are getting an APS TT kit, you don't need that, it is included.
No on the water pump.
APS TT kit has internal wastegates that will support more than what you would want to do on the stock internals safely. (if you want to run more than 12psi, you will need to contact GRD Performance)
Blow-off valve is also included in the APS TT kit.
Intercooler is also included in the APS TT kit.
Connecting rods are needed for 450rwhp or more with no other mods other than the turbo kit.
Pistons are usually upgraded with the connecting rods to save on install and down time. We estimate the pistons will actually last around 500-550rwhp. You will also need ARP head and main studs. If you want more than 550rwhp, then I will suggest some more parts. But that is all you need for 550rwhp or less.
I wouldn't get one, you will get annoyed from shifting gears sooner with F/I, I would suggest getting a different shift **** and swapping from a 3.5 gear set to a 3.2 gear set (in the 5AT), you won't have to shift as often and the top speed will be higher.
Tough one, no one really knows what gains good power on an F/I vehicle. Listen to some sound clips and remember that the exhaust sound will be quieter from the turbos.
Nope.
Isn't necessary. If you really want to do something though, get it ceramic coated. Personally, I would get a exhaust housing insulator and use that.
You need to look on airpowersystems.com and then dealers to see where the APS dealers are, and see if they can tune the Unichip on your 350Z.
I would suggest a twin-plate clutch and flywheel such as ATS and a good LSD.
I don't think you'll reach 200mph but you can certainly try, I STRONGLY suggest an oil cooler if you want to attempt that high of MPH. Sustained high load runs will do pretty badly on oil temperature.

Cheapest mod would be to place 350Z in an air cargo plane ---easily exceed 200 mph and cost less for a short flight.
Wind resistance is a 4x factor so you need 4 x rear wheel power to double speed ......something approximating 400 rear wheel HP to exceed 200 mph.

yeah there is so much work for this to even come close to happening... the fastest i have ever been is 177 in a 911 twin turbo racing an evo and let me tell u something its not always that cool to go that fast it can be scary at times. I didnt even know i was going that fast the evo only got to 130.
figured id say a little story lol but it was fun though

go buy the 2 option videos that cover the stream z. watch them, learn from their mistakes. also, they were trying for more like 250, 200 wasn't the hard part. i think a 350z with about 10k could get you there. pay attention to the speed rating of your tires, add some reliable hp to get you up to about 380whp or so, change the rearend gearing, focus on cheap aero mods ( you will see some of the fastest cars in the silver state race such as the black camaro seem to use duct tape(?) and fiberglass to move the air where they want it around the car ), and get out to the few places that will safely ( kinda relative at this speed ) let you get up to these speeds. a cage, seat, harness, and good health insurance seem to be a good idea. that, or get a z06 or viper and go for top speed. seems easier that way.
oh, almost forgot, the most important pieces are going to be a bigger radiator and oil cooler, depending on what you do with the airflow around the front end.

If you want your Z to be for street and track then 200+ is not a smart way to go.
You wont have any bottom end.
Track and Street is focus more on turns, and accel.
Unless of course your gonna do the seven mile oval.
