Default Want mods to reach 200+ mph help

Hi People, :newbie:

New newbie ( 4 weeks Old black annviversary) with lots of questions concerning modification. I want to do street and track. Incidently, I plan to paste and copy this writeup on other 350Z threads. Considering I' not close to being an F- mechanic, all work will have to be done by a reputable modification and tuning shop.

My goal is strong pull through rpm band, maybe in the low 11s but I'm a freak for top end speed (200+)

1) I want to keep the appearance of the Z stealthy stock.
2) I want the Aps Twins with thier tall boy plenum (need to know what strut bar to use.
3) the suspension I was thing of Tein Coilovers
4) What does it mean true dual cat back
5) Rt high flow cat
6) oil catch
7) Walbon 255
8) water pump ?
7) was gate ?
8) blow of valve?
9) intercooler?
10) want type on internal work (detail)
11) Does the anniversary need a better shifter B&M?
12) Exhast that produce great hp and a little torgue with little more dbs than stock
and thank look great (no slant on tail pipes)
13) New water pump
14) Heat rap the manifold
I Know theres are lots more Items i missed. I'm not sure have accurately detailed the modifications. If you have the time please advise Don't know if I have mention

I also desperately need to know a tunig shop near Mississippi. Live between Mobile and Biloxi/Gufport

If you want top end you might want to lower your gear ratio but you'll probebly need some sort of forced induction to get you there.

Me too -- everything can be hidden (other than bigger wheels), including the FMIC if you buy a grille... i think that's the route i'm going to go as well

2) I want the Aps Twins with thier tall boy plenum (need to know what strut bar to use.

IIRC, the turbos won't interfere with the stock strut bar... other than that it's up to personal opinion over what looks the best

3) the suspension I was thing of Tein Coilovers

ok

4) What does it mean true dual cat back

means two pipes going all the way back to two mufflers, no y pipe

5) Rt high flow cat

Have heard of some problems with these collapsing... if you're going high$ with the APSTT, might as well invest in Crawford cats or Ultimate-Racing cats

6) oil catch

sounds good, you'll need it if you take any prolonged turns at that speed

7) Walbon 255

Walbro 255... good choice... about $100

8) water pump ?

you've already got one on your engine

7) was gate ?

comes with the APSTT kit

8) blow of valve?

*see answer #7

9) intercooler?

*see answer #8

10) want type on internal work (detail)

not 100% necessary, but again, if you've got another 10k to spend might as well do it... use the search funtion, there are thousands of threads about this already

11) Does the anniversary need a better shifter B&M?

Can't hurt... my pref. is 350evo (new version) or Rogue... but that's just my prefs.

12) Exhast that produce great hp and a little torgue with little more dbs than stock and thank look great (no slant on tail pipes)

Most exhausts make about the same, but sound clips are what it's all about: https://my350z.com/forum/intake-exhaust/105031-exhaust-sound-clips-needed.html

13) New water pump

why?

14) Heat rap the manifold

couldn't hurt... especially if you're at those speeds for prolonged periods of time... why not just jet-hot it?

I Know theres are lots more Items i missed. I'm not sure have accurately detailed the modifications. If you have the time please advise Don't know if I have mention

You will definitely need/want an upgraded radiator for 200mph, probably bigger, stickier tires (with ratings for ultra-high speeds... don't know if any are made for 200+). That's about all I can think about right now... oh yeah, the best laser/radar detection / jamming system known to man
good luck.

Take you car to a reputable shop and drop it off along with a check for about $75K. THat's if you want to go 200+mph more than once. If you only want to do it once, you can probably NOS it until it blows....might get to 200.

I agree man, If you're asking how to break into the 200mph barrier with a Z then you obviously are not qualified to drive at that speed. Just IMO though.

If you do all the things you mentioned, you still have to take off the governor to hit 200+ LOL

Try NASA. They probably have a extra rocket booster sitting around.

Like someone said before, if you are having trouble which sway bar to use or which blow off valve to use then your not qualified to be going 200mph.

Im going to say that it will be near impossible for a z to get above 200 without extensive aerodynamic mods. Like one of those fatass porsche wings or two. Change the front end etc.

Weight reduction would be a must too.

Your going to need breaks that could slow your car down from 200mph.

Im guessing your gonna have to do wonders with the gears as well.

You will need some type of racing suspension.

an rb26dett oil pump, new gears, ings +1 stream kit with a gt wing, might want to go with two fuel pumps,a fuel return system,a intercooler sprayer, new wheels so u can put on wider tires that r rated higher than z,vented fenders so u dont build up wheel turbulence, big brakes, get a e-cut system since that will give u the biggest high rpm hp,pistons, rods, heads, cams, use a manifold that has a surge tank something like kinetix or sfr,do a custom turbo kit with bigger turbos like gt2835s,boost the sh*t out of it.theres more needed.so good luck

Why do these type of questions always sound the same? "I want to go from 0 to a million zillion MPH in 2 seconds and by the way, I know absolutely nothing about cars or what magic rocket parts I'll need!"

What are you, like 12 years old? Jeez Louise! Go get educated on what a car is and how to use one, then come and ask some questions!

I am really sorry if I sound harsh on condescending, but really, read your own post and tell me it doesn't sound like it's from someone that is clueless about cars yet you want to go 200MPH!

And where do you plan to hit 200mph besides a 7 mile test oval? Talk about a rediculous goal.

If you are asking questions like these:

7) was gate ?

8) blow of valve?

12) Exhast that produce great hp and a little torgue with little more dbs than stock and thank look great (no slant on tail pipes)
I would suggest that you worry less about modding your Z or going 200 mph and more about perhaps enrolling in Junior College or an adult education course.

Good luck.

What's with all the drama. So he asked the question, so he doesn't know anything about cars. This is hardly the way to jump on a 12 year old (if in fact it's his/her age) and tell them that they're dumb.
