building an engine is around 10k...he can do...where tha hell do you get these #'s from man..i know these are correct cause my friend is building his as I type..injectors that come with the greddy should be good for 500-600whp..

I agree too, 30k is a lot to dump into a motor though. Why do you want 600whp? Are you going to drag race? Personally, I would spend half of the $$$ on lightening the car and gearing it quicker. The end result is the same speed but with less issues.

i actually am going to be installing these parts myself... I'm actually in school right now... i'm going to be an experienced mechanic, so i save money for other aftermarket parts.

I would edit that, you are going to get a TON of crap for saying your age. Just a forewarning. These guys will rip into you.

GReddy TT kit with GReddy FMIC - $5,400 (PM me for where to get this price)
Electromotive Tec3r Engine Management with Electromotive 3 bar MAP sensor, coolant sensor, MAT sensor, throttle position sensor, DFU (for 6 cylinder), and XDI direct ignition system - ~$2700
Walbro 255lph In-tank fuel pump - $95 shipped
Return fuel system (preferrably mine ) - $1000
Gauges - ~$500-600
Air Power Systems (APS) test pipes (extreme performance (3.5")) - ~$200
Borla true-dual exhaust ($699) or Air Power Systems (APS) extreme performance true-dual exhaust (~$1200)
RC Engineering 650cc fuel injectors ($580 shipped)
ARP head and main studs - $366 shipped
Pauter connecting rods - $1,170 shipped
Arias extreme duty pistons - $1,050 shipped
NGK Iridium spark plugs - $65 shipped
ATS twin plate clutch with flywheel - $1,990 shipped
Driveshaft Shop Level 5 half-axle - $1,549 shipped
Quaife LSD - ~$1,300
Darton M.I.D. sleeves - $1,050
Wilwood big brake kit - $3,590 shipped
KJR Performance crank pulley - $170 shipped
Tein basic coilovers - $800
Stillen oil cooler - $355
GReddy oil catch tank - $91
Tomei 268 cams - $1,179
Ferrea valvetrain - $1485
Koyo radiator - $468
Hotchkis sway bars - $324
Stillen rear camber adjuster - $439
B&M short shifter - $169
Agency clutch line - $49
APS oil pan - $455
Crawford cast plenum - $450

= ~$30,000

You'll also want to get some wider rims for wider tires.

That will put you at 600 reliable rwhp though.

Hope this helps.

BTW, I would recommend getting the work done (whatever work you won't be doing on your own) at SGP Racing. They have not blown ONE VQ35DE in a 350Z or G35 and they have done tons of engine build-ups and turbo installations and supercharger installations. That speaks VOLUMES about how good they are.

I have read through almost every 350Z website for the past 2 years without posting so I learn everything I can. I would probably research all other websites out there also to get a grasp on what needs to be done with your car. At 17YRSOLD with a 600HP car is pretty much going to be a handful to race/drag for somone with limited experience. There are about 5 guys in this website that know what there talking about without BS'ing. I have saw NIS350ZTT on almost every forum and seems one of the most knowledgable. Take his advice.

why does my age matter what i drive or how much money i will spend our how much my parents are giving me?? Does that really matter that i am spoiled?? i don't care... I just want to go to school, then modify my car. My dad says it's ok to have a fast car, because when he was young.. he drove a 1985 Porsche 911 carrera coupe which he got from his dad for his 17th b-day. So thats why i'm trying to build up a fast car. It does not really matter how old i am

Your age doesn't matter to me, it will to these guys. I'm just warning you, threads with 17 year olds getting a 350Z get out of hand, a 17 year old building a 600+hp 350Z would be outrageous in their eyes.

At what cost? And how many shops in this country will want to even perform this?

IMO, the VQ35DE is the better option.

hm...no offence, but you SERIOUSLY need to do some homework before "doing these mods yourself"...... If you dont even know the difference between the FI reliability between a factory boosted engine and a factory NA engine. Are you really an "experienced mechanic" as you claimed?

and just a piece of advice...take it or leave it it's up to you. "A little humbleness goes a long way." This applies everywhere...soon you will learn. It will come with age (hopefully).
