wow, never realized the corvette had such a following

the insurance I have been quoted on the corvette is actually way less than the 330i I already own (dont ask me how)
BMW $830 per 6 month vs $660 corv

I better go find one of these corvettes to go look at and hopefully test drive then I guess.....

Also, I have learned the hard way that modifying a car is basically just money down the crapper (IMO). Basically buy a better car rather than modifying is my outlook on cars.

And I'm 30 with long hair (and no bald spots yet), whoever asked, but I can convert to a mullet with a few snips if its necesary for the corvette?

Anyways its almost 2006 time for the corvette, there should be a few fixes and upgrades apparently (including a new steering wheel actually), I would pre-order that......

God get the C6 no doubt. Winning 1 and 2 at 24 Hours of Le Mans in the GT1 class is no easy task. The C6 is well worth every penny.

an e46? you gotta be kidding? unless its an m3, e46 is just plain crappy compared to E90 (talking 330i vs 330i) - and I have owned both (gote90 330i sports package now)

and then even if it were an m3, it still costs more than a C6 (not by much), its definitely slower in a straight line, especially accelerating from a moving start and accelerating from higher speeds, and insurance is WAY more than a C6 - on a C6 i was quoted at 650 per 6 months and on a m3 $1300 - go figure!!!!

I haven driven many E46 M3's, probably spent about 20 hours behind the wheels of them..... I wasn't too impressed. The car feels nervous, and the ride is SO hard for the handling you get..... I really thought the previous E30 m3 was a much more enjoyable car to drive than the E46 M3

Also the early E46 M3s suffer from terrible brake fade IMO, on canyon roads where I have pushed M3's, there were some serious issues

Anyways my point is I am a big BMW fan, but I would never by a E46 M3

M6? that would probably get me all excited until I saw the sticker price....

if u dont mind, could u explain a bit how tax write offs work for renting leasing cars? I was interested in doing this before buying my 350z, but wasnt able to get much info on this.

thanks.

BTW - this is kind of pointless, but I cant figure out why GM can't spend more than $3 on their website???

it has the be the worst website of any car manufacturer I have ever seen, and when compared to other luxury cars makers, like lexus, bmw, porsche - the website is pretty embarrasing (and the corvette can get up to $70k so I think its a fair comparison)

pretty simple, you probably have to own your own business for a start. Then you get the company to make the payments, and then show that the car is for say 90% business use

then because the entire lease payment is money that will be worth nothing in the end (no asset whatsoever, its money down the drain), you can write off 90% of the payment

of course you are still paying for the car, because lets say I am at a 40% tax bracket, then I get to effectively write off really 40% of 90%, the rest is still money out of my pocket

so does every Z owner wish they owned a C6 instead of their Z?

or are they just picking that for this guy's situation because he's probably not going to mod the car because of the lease?

I could have gotten a C6, but liked the Z more and the $20k price difference and extra $ with insurance saved each month made me decide I'd have more fun modding a Z and creating my own car that isn't the same as every other Z that rolled off the line like it would be in the case for most C6 corvettes

Easy buddy, it was just a suggestion I personally love the look of the e46 over the C6.
