Default ADVICE: 350z vs G35 vs C6 corvette

Hey all!!

I decided I need something exciting for my next ride! I have kind of narrowed it down to these 3 cars (unless there is something else I missed)

Kind of wondering if anyone could give feedback on what's the beef, obviously the majority of people in here are going to be 350z owners....

Anyways, thinking of fun to drive factor, comfort, interior finish, acceleration, road handling, ease of use as a daily driver, trunk space, etc etc anyone care to comment on what would make *their* choice of vehicle clearly stand out above the other 2 cars? (and please ignore money / cost for this question)

I will definitely be doing a 3 year lease, so as long as the car runs for 3 years I really don't care about reliability or resale value.

PS: I definitely don't want to start some sort of flame war, I think they are all pretty damn fine cars in their own rights....

PSS: I just got a 2006 BMW 330i, with sports package, a pretty damn good car too! just isnt fast enough (its almost fast enough but you never get that glued to your seat power)

I just want to qualify that I have never even been in a C6 corvette, there are none left in Los Angeles it seems, popular item!

even then I hear the dealerships are very **** about test drives

hmmm don't like the idea of buying a car blind at all, kind of a sucky situation

I actually don't like the C6 that much other than its engine

it's more luxurious than the Z though if that's what you're into....

If you're <40 years old and are not bald, skip the vette.

Between the Z and G35, the trunk and rear seat are nice. If you can afford the G then I'd go for that. You can always put springs and stabilizer bars in. Although the Z looks sexier IMO.

No, $30,000 car vs a $50,000, I guess if you got the money why not step up and spend the extra 20 grand.

Default If I had my choice

I still want a ZO6 more than anything.. But the price and Insurance compared to my Z were not even in the same ballpark... The Z is one hell of a ride though... Built right....

here's my anti-vette rant

it's fast, that's cool. Stock for stock, the vette handles better, that's cool too.

it weighs about the same or slightly less than a Z, that's nice. It's lower and wider than the Z, that's good too.

well all know the vette is almost 2x the price for 30% more performance.

Insurance will cost more on the vette

The vette's steering wheel feels like grabbing the fat end of a baseball bat - it almost makes my hands sore from driving it.

It feels quite a bit bigger and heavier compared to the Z

You're stuck with leather seats. No cloth option. You're stuck. You'll love the slippery feeling as your body gets thrown around the seats and how hot leather gets in the summer.

The keyless entry is annoying as hell because it doesn't react as fast as me opening a normal door handle. It also leaves me feeling kinda paranoid about the car being locked

It's quiet. Maybe that's a good thing. I like my sports cars to sound loud and mean and punchy. Not long winded and quiet. The V8 is pretty awesome, but it sounds like a quiet roar. the thing SHOULD sound like it's breathing fire not like a truck. Seriously, it sounds like a truck in stock form.

the interior feels like a corvette interior. Everything is where it should be and is pretty typical. The Z by comparison feels like a high tech snug cockpit and that's something I like. The corvette's interior's materials are higher quality that the Z's

fiberglass is cool until you have to repair it.

if the 330i isnt fast enough for you then most likely the g35 or the 350z wont be either. get the c6!

How could u compare the cars when they arnt even in the same price range? Why do you want a sports car? For HP? The C6 comes with more yes, but the extra $$ you spend on the c6 u can do stuff to the Z and woop the living **** out of a c6.
But then again, idk, would be nice to have that much HP and a warranty :P.
Its just down to what you like. After everything, the chevy is an american car, be prepared for some maintenace :P.
