As said before, you can pretty much run whatever exhaust you want. However, for maximum gains there are certain types of exhausts that you would want to run. I am currently running the stock exhaust with resonated test pipes on my Z and I have a TT. I've been running on stock boost and haven't had any problems, except that I noticed a very small crack in the stock Y-pipe. I will be switching out my exhaust in about a week when I turn up the boost, because the stock exhaust is too restrictive and wouldn't allow me to get as much power as I could with an aftermarket exhaust.
