Another victim of bird sh*t
Nature vandalized my Z. I had a huge bird sh*t mark on my rear fender. The bird must have been a huge motherf***** because this wasn't a drop of sh*t. It was the area of a normal size hand. I didn't notice til last night, but I was too drunk to clean it right away and now I paid for it because there is a dull etched stain and it's very grainy. I used cleaner wax and nxt wax, but it still looks like crap. Have a nice day.

Hey doodeitstom,
I had the same problem last summer. Especially in the TX heat, birdsh!t can be very unforgiving. Here's what I did and it seemed to work. Go to your local Pepboys or Autozone and pickup "Meguiar's Scratch X". Clean the area and apply this stuff. I did 3-4 applications until the dull etched stain disappears. When you run your hand over the area you just applied the stuff with, it'll seem very slick. From that point, you'll wax the car as many times as you want and it's like brand new. Good luck.

One time I was at UH, and I was at the parking booth getting a parking permit. A bird dropped a big poop that hand sized like yours!
It was brown and green. But luckily for me it landed on my windshield! hehe.
I quickly wiped that crap off with a wad of napkins.

Yeah, birds do target our cars for some reason. I parked mine at work and when I came out it looked like a birds *** had exploded on my car. There were at least 25 spots of poop all over it. It hate birds.

Duude...I shoulda took pictures of my bombing. Mine happend yesterday afternoon. I just paid 40 bucks for a full service wash, vacuum, detailing, and wax. They did a very good job. Then only after 2 hours my brother told me I got bombed. I was pretty upset at that moment after spending so much to get it cleaned and waxed. Once I got out there it was pretty bad. I mean literally 6 very large bird poop bombs from the passenger side headlamp to the roof of the driver side. These birds were out to get me...

I mean literally 8(yes I counted) very large bird poop bombs from the passenger side headlamp to the roof of the driver side. These birds were out to get me... the nearest tree was about 20 feet away. Oh and BTW after the fireworks were over I could help but run over a dead dog (i think thats what it was) and got blood and flesh all over the side of my car. It was dark and it couldn't be avoided, everyone was running over this thing, it looked pretty beat up.

Hey guys, good tip I found while dealing with this. I had my gloss etched pretty bad by bird crap also. Buy 3M's fine rubbing compound at Pep boys ($6.99). Then follow up with 3M Perfect IT III (I used Meguires Scratch-X instead since I already had it). Wax and it'll get rid of 95%. Essentially you are wet micro sanding the gloss coat to get rid of the etching.
Do a search on "bird crap" in the detailing forum and you should find the post for it if you need more information.
