I wasnt basing on it HP, i just thought that since the Z is more of a sport car than the RSx-S. It would be higher in insurance.

The percentage of accidents in the RSX-S is probably a lot higher which also factors into the insurance equation. Over time, with the number of incidents increasing with the Z, rates may rise as well (some people on this board have already experienced this).

Didn't we already have this thread not to long ago? I pay about $150/month and I'm 24, no accidents, no tickets, $100 deductible, full coverage.

25 my own policy 100 a month

100k 500 deductible full coverage

The amount of coverage is whats important. Don't get 20k or less, at least get 50k or more liability.

Bills add up quick.

$411 every 6 months. Insured with Metropolitan but have a package deal (house, 5 vehicles, life, health plan), safe driver (no tickets since, like, forever...not like I haven't deserved one or two lately <G>) and I'm old so it all adds up to a nice discount.

Question

Hey. I mostly read the forums since the Z came out and fell in love with it ever since. I guess its time to speak up some. I dont mean to highjack this thread but what insurance company would you recommend for an 18 year old. Yes I know an 18 year old. My parents and I have put serious thought into me getting a Z within the next two months or so. I was looking at a 03 DB Touring. No they are not paying for it, not all of it. I have been saving up since the Z came out and have a great job. (~$400) week. My dad doesn't want me under his policy because god for bid something happens he doesn't want HIS insurance to go up . What will insurance be for me per year if I am under my own policy. Male 18. 2003 DB Coupe Touring? He is checking tommorrow with his insurance to ask and I wanted something to compare it too. Thanks guys and gals in advanced.
