At 21, I assume you have finished high school. I would strongly recommend you repeating it.

I should know better than to even get involved.

I'll be honest with you and say I took your post a bit too personal. Your post ticked me off a bit because I felt you were being the hater, that you were attacking every base model owner (myself included) as if we were the dregs of society; so poor we couldn't afford the good wine so had to order the house.

Now that I've been honest with you I think if you'll be brutally honest with yourself as well you'll have to admit that you did in fact mean exactly what I inferred, your explanation not withstanding.

If not I stand corrected.

Again, your post is pretty hard to read any other way after all the hating on this kid. My own poor language skills preclude me from speaking on your choice of grammar without being rude myself, again, so I will simply say that perception is reality and in my reality you were patently hating on this kid, as was everyone else, and I'm just so very sick of pompous <expletive>'s attacking anyone they deem subordinate to them for some arbitrary reason that I lashed out inappropriately; I was rude and for that I apologize without reservation.

Man, you low-life base model guys sure do talk alot! We elite at the top of the model line-up needn't bother with such defenses.

HA HA HA HA....I'm pulling your leg of course. Hell, in my book a Z is a Z is a Z. It's more what you do with it after the purchase that makes it stand out as something different.

While I agree the hate gets old, after you've been around for awhile (I see you're a fairly new member), the 'stupid posts' full of poor grammar and incoherent thoughts really do get old (especially if you spend a lot of time on the boards). Yes, this is an internet forum, so proper sentence structure, etc. can only be so expected, but some people just don't even make an effort. You seem to write very well, so at least we have one more new member to not worry about in that regard.

Peace!

We have very small private parts so have to draw your attention away from that with razzmatazz and jazz hands.

I am brutally honest with myself. No, I did not mean what you insinuate. My explanation holds IMO.

Frankly, I don't care what kind of car anyone drives. My girlfriend drives a 03 Civic LX, before that she drove a 93 Corolla... I never felt like I was better than her (or anyone else for that matter) because I had a better car. I used to drive a base model '00 Maxima (bought used), because at the time couldn't afford leather and/or the sportier suspension. Not to mention that I couldn't afford any mods

In short, I would never insult someone for the car they drive... I understand that my post could have been interpreted as an attack on base model owners, but that was simply poor composition on my behalf. I was rather surprised that you retaliated without confirming that suspicion!

Frankly, I was *very* close to buying an enthusiast model! At the last minute I decided I just didn't like the feel of the cloth seats, so I opted for the one I really wanted (at the cost of future mods), even if it was a bit more money. I didn't decide to get touring so I could show off and stand on a plateau, I just did it because I wanted to.

Uh---but I never thought that made me better than anyone else. All I did was choose the best one for me. I'm sure plenty of people like the cloth seats (I loved having cloth seats in my Maxima!) and I think that everyone should just buy the car that he/she wants without regards to what other people think.

The safety feature of having VDC in the rain is nice, you can't add that aftermarket if I remember correctly. Plus, IMO the MT touring will have a pretty good resale value for when I do decide to sell it. For what it's worth, I don't even have navi... and no plans to add an aftermarket navi system.

In any case, it seems that we've made peace... enjoy your Z
