thats funny, i'm having the exact same problem. the sprinkler at my apt keeps getting water spots on my windshield and they are so hard to clean off. First i tried windex but that didn't help.

The white spots on the windshield are calcium so i'm gonna try those cleaning products for bathroom tiles. Ill let you know if it works.

ok here the solution.... use windex to clean the glass first. then apply a layer of RAINX. that stuff is magic... water beads right off... you can buy it at your local auto store

I polished mine with 3-M Swirl Remover when I buffed out my SB; cleaned up the windows and the headlight covers to like-new appearance.

regular carnuba wax will take those calcium deposits off. Works like a charm. Use it like you are waxing your car.

thanks for the advice guys, i will pick up those products. I did try those cleaning products for bathrooms but they still require alot of pressure when scrubing to get off the spots.

distilled white vinegar, will get the spots off your windshield.

...just rinse really well or wash again with carwash soap to get rid of that smell.

i use 99% isopropenol alcohol with a drop or 2 of light weight pure silicon oil. cleans off all the crap and leaves a rainx like layer. started using this after seeing that the application pad for Piaa wiper blades uses the same solution.
